This is the best record store in the area. You can always find things here that you can't find anywhere else. Excellent selection of music and movies. Reasonable prices, friendly staff. From LPs to cassettes to CDs, we have just about everything a music addict could want.

We came in to just check out what they had and it was so cool! Lots of cd's, vinyls and even 8 tracks! Definitely a cool place to go when on Long Island!

I like to support record stores but customer service is crucial. I returned an awful sounding record here and they wouldn't provide a credit (I didn't even ask for a refund). They just lost a customer as I will focus on on-line purchases from now on.

Really mellow place, great selection for us Western-Nassau folks...I've been to a few record stores a bit further East, and I wasn't thrilled with those.Vinyl, CDs, some Tapes (wish that selection was bigger)... The cheap vinyl bin(s). Cool place - recommend ++

I will gladly say that Mr. Cheapo's is an essential location when it comes to Long Island music shops. Have a little of everything when it comes to media (DVD, CD, and Records) and you can just spend hour and hours at the store.When it comes to pricing, they are very fair since they can guarantee to play well and offering many offerings with their newsletter email (if you haven't signed, sign up!). They keep the shop well organized and categorized by genre with both music and movies.Staff is the best part about the store, very knowledgeable and friendly. Mick and Jess are for sure one of the best retail employees I can ever meet, well educated and doesn't hurt to ask a question or two about music or movies.Overall, I always come back to Mr. Cheapo's in Mineola on a weekly basis. Check out the new inventory and find new music anytime I stop in the shop. Following their social media helps to discover their newest pickups and they do post quite frequently. One stop for any music/movie enthusiast in the Long Island area!

Love both locations, as they seem to have both mainstream and obscure pieces of media (cd’s , DVD’s). Staff is always friendly and helpful. Thanks guys for reminding us of the beauty of PHYSICAL media

Called ahead to see if they had a CD. They told me they did, so I asked them to hold it for me. A 30-minute drive later, and I get to the store just for them to tell me it’s a bootleg. I could burn my own CDs for about 10 cents. They wanted $10 for it.

Love love LOVE this place!!! Staff is awesome and friendly not only very knowledgeable but also super friendly!!! Can always find what you want, and even what you didn’t even know you wanted!!! Can’t say enough good things about this place !! Been coming here for a couple years now and am so glad we have found this gem of a place!!! And a special shout out to the owner, Stu - THANK YOU for turning me on to Little Feat! They are amazing!!!

Absolutely LOVE this shop!!! Old school vinyls and cds as well as dvds galore!!! If you want it, they have it!! Friendly and totally knowledgeable staff - always service with a smile!! Was just there again today and always find something I missed or just another album or cd to add to the collection!! They also sell posters and band tee shirts and hoodies and books and tv shows on dvd and pins and patches and even face masks!!! Just love this gem of a store!!!!
