Riverhead Building in Mineola, NY did a phenomenal job in designing and installing my new kitchen. Design, service, installation all get five stars to their dedication in making the customer happy with the final result. And a special thank you to Michelle who worked with us to design the kitchen and was there through the whole process. Highly recommend Michelle and the Riverhead Building team .

We could not be more elated with how our kitchen project came out, and it would never have happened without Michelle. From the first meeting we were impressed with her previous designs and options we had by using RBS. It only got better when she applied our ideas and needs with hers and showed us the first draft of her design which basically was the final drawing. She was with us every step, accommodating and always checked in. The added bonus was the working relationship she had with the contractor and their communication through the entire project.

In a world where everyone focuses on the negatives I want to focus and applaud the wonderful, honest and sincere support and service I received from Michelle Gannon at Riverhead Building Supply in the Mineola location! I unfortunately had a tough time with my kitchen renovation construction crew and from the moment I walked in and met her and started talking to her, she was so knowledgeable and caring, I later found out her father was in the industry so she knew from beginning to end all the scenarios and was supportive and such a blessing! She explained things to me so clearly with passion and in such a human way! Which is so rare nowadays, she really cares, she is very honest and I appreciated it so much! She was available to me always, she followed up immediately, she is an incredible asset to this company (who I also recommend highly!) I hope this company sees this and thanks her for her incredible work!! She went above and beyond in so many ways!! You rarely see that anymore! I have already been spreading the word wherever I can about Riverhead Building Supply and about Michelle! I believe we the public need to speak up more about the awesome people that still exist in this very challenging and changing world! Don’t hesitate if you need new kitchen cabinets, just call Michelle Gannon and set up an appointment with her! I went to 5 other places and no one showed me the knowledge, honesty and integrity she did! I got made in USA cabinets for my budget and love my new Kitchen! She even worked in my favor with all her patience with the very difficult contractor! I could never thank her enough! I will always go back to Riverhead Building Supply because I know she is there and will guide me in any of my construction needs we now have a relationship which is priceless in this world! I met a few of her colleagues whom she worked with and also gave me great support! She has a great personality and you could see how they supported each other another great thing to see and feel from a customer’s point of view!

Holy moly. This is the best building store for both pros and DIY’ers. The store was renovated and restocked in first part of 2024 and it’s even better than before. Riverhead is my go to for lumber, trim and moulding, paint and stains, cauks, both common and rare fasteners, drywall supplies, general building supplies and tools. They carry most of the stuff big box does but with a friendly expert staff.
1) Premium (straight) lumber
2) They’ll cut down lumber and load it for you for free
3) $50 delivery on orders under $500
4) Open an account and they email you an invoice for your records every night

I had a project for which i needed to go back and order mire wood. The store clerks were AMAZING-PROFESSIONAL-KIND-PATIENT with my "no knowledge" of wood or how it works. The pricing is competitive as all BUILDOING SUPPLIES went through the roof since the pandemic. The delivery people each and every time were on time, gave me an estimate and showed up within the parameters-No stories of delay etc. The quality of the wood was EXCELLENT as i was working on an intricate projest that was high end for people to see. I called in the office to REPORT the driver for an excellent job abd the gal said shell let Brian know that i was 100% satisfied with my purchase, the timing, the cost, the delivery and the product. A MUST USE They deliver!

What makes Riverhead building supply good some might say wonderful are the people a customer service is fantastic I can't do enough to make sure that you get what you need when you need it how you need itI do miss John but as I've learned over the years good things do come to an end

I called into this location to ask if they had a material I was looking for which I was told "yes", took the 30 minute drive to be told "we don't have that here" which I responded to "I called and was told you guys did" and the response I got was "no you didn't"....how are you telling me what I did or didn't do? Maybe if they didn't stand around talking about taking "whippets" they would be aware of what's going on, I mean what a rude prick that guy was, but not shocked after hearing them laugh and joke about blasting their brains with drugs.

Outstanding, from beginning to end. I needed UC4B treated lumber to replace a couple of bunk boards on my trailer. I drove from New York City. The service experience was outstanding from my first call to the pickup of my material. An entire team of people to help me with my two pieces of wood. They even helped me get it in my car. I will never go to home Depot again. Giovanni

Came here to purchase new locks for our new home, but Erik advised us to rekey our locks, which was a much cheaper alternative. I would not have known this was an option and am grateful for that suggestion. He was very helpful and genuine about it. Thanks again.
