former new yorker here. i haven’t been back to new york in a long time after having moved away. totally forgot to transfer my medications before coming back to my old home state for a quick vacation. cvs monroe’s staff, especially one of their new technicians, kayla felix, is absolutely amazing. her customer service is impeccable and she’s amazing at her job. her future is bright and she was super super helpful in helping me with my medications in the quick interaction we had. will definitely be back and asking for kayla’s help.

Don’t even know how the pharmacists who work here got a license to even work here. They are very incompetent and don’t even deserve to be labeled as a pharmacists. They lack empathy, customer service, and work ethic. Which is needed for ALL going into a healthcare field. They don’t know how to read handwriting and always say the prescription is wrong…when it’s not. They are extremely entitled, rude, xenophobic, and racist. They don’t care for non-english speakers and mock them. They mock you for showing urgency to get medication for LIFE-RISKING diseases. They only care if you pay for medication, even if it’s the wrong one. My family pet died due to them rejecting prescriptions…

Disabled woman here. I had my meds transferred THREE times due to issues with it going out of stock and this location had it in stock. I had already waited 2 weeks at this point for someone to have it. I drove 40 minutes out of my way to this pharmacy and was so excited to get myself back on track and be able to get back to work. I went in to pickup my script here and was told that this location does not accept pharmacy coupons from goodrx, your discount card from your prescriber, or the coupons in the CVS app itself for controlled substances. They said it is up to the pharmacist/managers discretion to accept it or not (this is not even corporate policy!) and my particular medication is "hard to get" so they wanted me to pay over $400 OUT OF POCKET instead of the normal $88-$100 I pay at my home CVS. I called corporate to learn my options and they could not convince this pharmacy to help me. I spoke to my normal CVS location and they were shocked to learn that another location would deny assistance to their customers like this and were overly apologetic for it still being out of stock. This location is unethical and does not actually care about helping people who need their medications. Some of us need them just to get to work each day to make the little money we have. I feel exploited and incredibly disappointed that I am unable to afford my medication because this location just decided to stop helping folks who need it. You have the option to help people, and you choose to make it that much harder for them instead?? Life is already hard enough living with a disability, the last thing we need is someone to look us in the eyes and say yeah we could accept this but it's our discretion not to so no, we won't help you. I've never had a pharmacy reject legal and valid financial assistance in getting medications. I am shocked.
It's truly cruel to deny ANYONE, let alone the disabled access to their medication they need to keep going each day (WHO ALREADY HAVE A HARD TIME MAINTAINING WORK!) because the capital gain is more important. It's truly a despicable business practice. Very shameful.

This store is clean and well kept which i appreciate but the major problem is the pharmacy. After my grandma had surgery and needed medicine afterwards they kept screwing it up every damn time, still to this day when she needs medicine they mess it up with other medicine or something just doesn’t go right. The staff is sometimes nice it varies on who is on shift and if there nice enough to have a nice attitude.

While the support staff is excellent they can not seem to retain a pharmacist for longer than a month. The pharmacist is overworked and not able to answer questions in private due to lack of time and privacy with the new setup since the renovations

I recently visited the CVS Pharmacy in Monroe, and I was very impressed by the kindness and patience the staff expressed.
One specific employee, Kayla, went above and beyond to make sure I was able to get my medication. She went out of her way to help me. Kayla was so knowledgeable and patient, answering all my questions with a smile.
Thank you, Kayla, for your amazing service. I will definitely be coming back because of you.

After calling my doctor, who said she sent in the refill a week ago, I followed-up with CVS. Today i learned the hard way, that they no longer fill prescriptions for anyone without health insurance, nor do they take GoodRX, or any other discount cards. They didn't think to even notify me or the prescribing doctor. Like, wth? I guess i’ll be canceling my CarePass.

Someone needs to teach the girl named Jasmine some customer service. She saw me standing and waiting at the register and didn't even greet me back with I'll be with you shortly, then came up and said yes, instead of "Hello, how can I help you? Sorry for the wait." The customer service needs improvement. I hope someone from CVS takes a look at this and makes changes.

The people in this pharmacy are rude, incompetent, and flat-out nasty. They are liars. They will not answer the phone and when they finally do they put you on hold for 45 minutes by far the worst customer service I have ever experienced

I'd give them zero stars if I could! I've been a customer for several years, and in the past, they were great. Recently, though, my doctor sent in a prescription, but it was on hold. I asked him to call to find out why. The issue had nothing to do with insurance, price, or pre-authorization. My doctor wound up having to call FOUR times for ONE patient about ONE prescription! I had to call twice. They were very rude and called my doctor a liar! EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL!!
