The brunch here is the best in the area, and the service is world class. So happy we tried it this morning.

What a lovely and authentic Victorian B&B! From the moment you walk up the walkway it has a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The staff was beyond accommodating. The rooms were very clean and the bed was super comfy. Breakfast was a delight and the entire esthetic was beyond quaint. The only suggestion I would make is to add tissue boxes to the rooms and bathroom. Otherwise we highly recommend!!Walkability: Downtown village was adorableFood & drinks: Nearby restaurants were great

The Borland House was a lovely place to stay for the weekend while in town for a wedding. Self-checkin was very smooth and the Hummingbird room was charming. We took advantage of the sitting room and chess set, as well as the coffee and tea all day! Breakfast was wonderful service and food made to order, delicious both mornings. The electric car charger was a huge plus for our rental car! Walking distance to shops and pubs.Walkability: Walkable to shops and pubs.Food & drinks: Breakfast was delicious! Next time I’m in town I will definitely need to make a dinner reservation here.

Stayed here for a wedding and loved the service, atmosphere, and ease of check in/out. The staff were wonderful and helpful with recommendations. Breakfast was hot and made to order and included in our stay. The electric car charger was a great addition for us as well.

The Wonderful Borland house is consistently a magnificent 5 stars through and through! Each time I stay here, I find it more lovely and graceful than the last. The house manager Brianna is so talented and sweet and attentive. She is the epitome of excellence in hospitality. Every detail of the Borland house from the gorgeous antique decor & furnishings to the always fresh delectable menu items, to the exquisitely kept garden, it is so very apparent the owner Anna takes great pride in maintaining the utmost care and elegance in this incredible establishment. It is an absolute delight to stay here. Can’t wait to come back.

My friend and I had a beautiful stay! Our room was nestled away near the kitchen, but still felt very private. The staff was great, very friendly and helpful when available. We loved the complimentary breakfast, everything was delicious! We will definitely come back again!

My hunt continue to explore local eateries and we have had this on our list of places to visit for some time. The setting is perfect. Quiet Clinton Street in the beautiful historic Village of Montgomery. The brunch was 3 courses and we started with apple ciderMimosas which were perfectly served. The pastry tower with warm baked goods and fresh fruit. I had the biscuit and gravy and our server suggested to top it with fried chicken. My husband had the vegetable frittata. His was delicious but if your going to go, have the biscuit and gravy. This brunch was not for the faint of heart. It was delicious and filling. It was romantic and perfectly antique. Do go soon, go now!

OH EM GEE!! What a GEM!!I booked The Borland Inn by happy coincidence while traveling back to my home in the Midwest after leaving Connecticut. It was an impulse decision and one of my better ones I must say. From atmosphere, to location, to hospitality, to service ..FIVE STARS IS NOT ENOUGH. I even got a free upgrade. I hope to have the privilege of staying in this stately beautiful home again some day. Thank you for EVERYTHING! (Including a PERSONAL tour of a local vintage shop that was just adorable. I still am wearing a bracelet I purchased there every day ?)

We were just bowled over by how cute this place is. Made me want to go antiquing! Contactless check-in without a hitch. Breakfast was perfect, and the picnic lunch package was a total gourmet meal in a paper bag. We had a lovely experience here - totally recommend it for a weekend getaway.

We went there for brunch and it was not a good experience. I won't go back there again. The only lunch item on the menu was chicken on waffle and they said they were out of it. They gave you two paper napkins for two people, and when I asked for more, they gave 2 more! One small salad for two people. It is overpriced for sure and they also forced 20% gratuity on the bill. The bottom line is it is really nothing good about it. I won't recommend it to anybody. We paid $82 for a few scrambled eggs and a green salad!

What a quaint and comfy escape! We had a beautiful drive from the NYC area. Fall leaves of all colors decorated the roads, along with the landscape of the Inn. The town itself is walkable with restaurants, shops and coffee shops. The Inn is beautifully decorated with little sitting areas and nooks in the common rooms, which allow visitors the opportunity to take in the beauty of the place. Pure relaxation! Our room was lovely. We booked last minute as we had a wedding in the area. The official wedding hotel was a part of a not super exciting chain that was charging 300 a night. We went rouge and booked this stunning Inn and were immediately pleased upon arrival. Our room was clean and the shower had great water pressure. In the morning, we had a delicious gourmet breakfast. My husband opted for the breakfast sandwich with fresh salad and I went for the pumpkin waffles. Both were outstanding. The management was wonderful and professional. We made a mistake when checking in and got confused about the location of our room. Instead of making this a big deal, they handled our mistake and ensured all was good and our wedding festivities were not interrupted. We will definitely be returning. Thank you so very much for a wonderful experience. Do yourself a favor and book this quintessential Hudson Valley inn!
