The location beautiful, room, Staff great! But I paid to have yoga/meditation morning and late afternoon on Sunday they had nothing at all. That was my only full day that I could fully take advantage since Monday’s they only offer yoga and meditation during the day. check in is at 3 pm so Saturday by the time i settled in i was only able to attend meditation which instructor was great. The other issue is the dining room i sat 1 breakfast and a dinner in the restaurant it was physically painful to sit in the cold. The small heaters didn’t help. I had to eat in the room to stay warm and not tense up. Spa charges are expensive with 18% fee. Hallways were also cold especially after a massage. Or mud therapy after you are done you have to walk in the cold to wash yourself off. I came back with the sniffles, i enjoyed my stay but I didn’t get everything i paid for. The sniffle is something i could do without. Especially that i stood indoors to avoid the cold winds and snow.

Had a fun weekend escape for my birthday spent Sunday/Monday with check out on Tuesday! I love the grounds as all the views were breathtaking. I had a few services done including Ayurvedic treatments. The vegan food was amazing & a big shout out to Michael at the front desk & Robert in the restaurant! All the staff were friendly & attentive to all of our needs! I recommend the salt scrub as it left my body feeling so relaxed & soft! I also love, love, love the heated jetted whirlpool in the swimming pool area. We meditated in the meditation & prana rooms & played sound bowls in the activity area of the wellness areas on the ground floor. Our stay was short & the weather was cold for early March but the experience was nice. I recommend asking about tax & gratuity for any of the services so you won’t be startled at the end by the bill. The best feature for me by far was the heated toilet seat in our double king room overlooking Bailey’s lake! Love it ?? Rooms: Our double king room on the 4th floor had a nice view & also the heated toilet seat was big! The gigantic shower was also a plus & the grounds & hotel itself was very walkable! The internet wasn’t great & kept dropping but the room was very nice!

This place is awesome! With yoga every morning, delicious food, and a steam shower in our room, we loved this peaceful retreat! It’s our second time back here. The staff was overall great, a big shoutout to Michael at the reception helping us with any obstacles we encountered! They also have a huge game room & a sauna we appreciated! The nature walk alongside the frozen lake was a great way to spend an hour outdoors in the woods. Thanks for the stay ? ?

My experience here was fair, nothing about this stay stands out as spectacular except for the beautiful NY landscape. I read reviews stating that for the price, past patrons were hoping to be swept away by Yo1, and I would agree that this experience left me wanting more - or wishing I had spent the money elsewhere.I went big - going for the full package that includes all meals, two daily therapies and the Dosha reading. I'll do my best to provide insight on all - from my experience. The room - (added) the room was nicer than the average 4 star stay, it felt private, modernly-minimalistic and the walls seemed thick. However there was a huge water stain that seemed to be actively worsening right outside my door. The smell was…intolerable. I asked the staff about the issue and was politely shuffled away. I would say that for the price of the stay you should push for a better experience than what I settled for.The Food - I enjoyed Yo1’s solid execution of a plant based menu! I loved the staff in the dining area as well - they were so sweet, treated each patron well and did not hesitate to provide great service. The ingredients were fresh and menu options varied so even those who were just trying veganism during their stay could enjoy it. I will say that the Indian dishes that were available seemed to lack any sort of traditional taste - which was strange, but might have been done so more people could enjoy. If you asked me if I’d go back for the food - I’d say no, but it was fresh and healthy and that’s pretty great considering Yo1's goal.Daily Therapies - The staff here is amenable and kind - you'll have no trouble asking for support or help if needed. But something that one of service providers said to me stuck out and I want to share it here too - "I love what I do here, but it's just a check - and really those who care in this profession do not want to see a client for 1 or 2 sessions and then never again, you cannot gain enough momentum in a wellness journey from that." Now, I’m a bit of an over-thinker (hence this mighty review) and had similar sentiments in my mind as I tried to get the absolute most out of what I had paid for - to have a staff member say this made the rest of my therapies feel like a wasted indulgence. That being said, my biggest lesson learned for this stay was that: if you are going to any resort hoping to experience intrinsic change - you may have a better and more rewarding experience investing in a continuous relationship with a local practice. The Location - No one in their right mind can deny the beauty of upstate New York in early fall. The wellness center sits in a nice plot of land featuring a lake view, lots of geese and small paved trail. My issue here is that they actively promotes this idea of walking the trails, but in reality you can maybe stetch the walk to about an hour before you've made several loops including around the parking lot. As a hiker I would say if you want spend a day in nature go to a nearby state park. The Dosha Reading - This service is highly promoted on Yo1’s site and was the reason I ended up booking my stay. Here’s what I can say - you will learn some really helpful information that challenges the Western way of thinking about healthy living, but it’s all coming at you in a 30-ish minute session. My service provider was knowledgeable and passionate about the information provided and honestly I would have loved the opportunity to work more with them during my stay. All in all Yo1’s got something going here - it’s just not exactly what I was hoping for. It’s more of an experience than a place to truly focus on one’s wellness. But I say this as someone who did not come here to simply get away - I was hoping to really throw some gasoline onto the fire of my wellness goals. With a lovely set-up and wonderful staff Yo1 could really do some meaningful work but, in my opinion, is settling at the surface of wellness provision and has not hit its true depths yet.Rooms: The room - (added) the room was nicer than the average 4 star stay, it fe

I had a lovely stay at YO1 Longevity and Health Resort. It provided for a relaxing, reflective atmosphere where you can really reconnect with your self and work on your health and wellness. The facilities were gorgeous, super spacious, and the staff was very kind and welcoming. As a non-vegan, I would have loved at least one meat option for dinner, as the evening I dined in the restaurant the menu did not have one, however... I tried non-chicken chicken breast for the first time and I have to say, it was really quite good! Overall it was a great experience and I'd recommend it for anyone looking to focus on themselves and their general well-being, both mental, spiritual and physical.

We stayed at YO1 for the weekend for the wellness retreat and loved our experience! The location of this place is between the mountains, each room offers lake view, facility is completely clean and have taken care of every single details for you! We had booked Introductory wellness package, which included a massage and hydrotherapy/mud therapy for each day, healthy/vegan breakfast, lunch and dinner, fresh juice for the afternoon, and variety of yoga classes. The facility offers sauna, steam room, swimming pools, game room and lot more! The yoga instructors, massage therapists, restaurant staffs, and front desk staff, all are super friendly, courteous and accomdating to your request. Especially Susanna the front desk manage made our day with helping us with last minute request to switch out therapy! We enjoyed our stay and it was rejuvenating experience! I highly recommend this place! We would def. be back soon! Thank you YO1!

The property and the rooms were spacious and clean. Meals were served promptly and were all vegetarian (which was good for me). A spa treatment helped the stress melt away. Overall a quiet and relaxing experience, and conveniently located not too far from NYC.

I really enjoyed my stay. The view of the lake from the room was beautiful and the room was very spacious. The food was great and the tranquil nature of the hotel was amazing - exactly what was needed coming from a busy NYC!

Just wanted to share my recent getaway at YO1 Catskills – what an experience! It's more than just a wellness retreat; it's like stumbling upon a hidden gem in the Catskill Mountains. The yoga and meditation sessions were a game-changer. The instructors created an atmosphere that made me forget I was a total newbie. It felt like a genuine journey of self-discovery, and I left with a sense of calm I didn't know I needed. Now, let's talk about the spa – pure bliss. I lost track of time in the tranquil surroundings, and it was exactly what my tired mind and body needed. Oh, and the food – every meal was a taste adventure. YO1 Catskills isn't just a place; it's an escape. If you're looking for something beyond the usual, I'd say give it a shot. I left feeling refreshed, rejuvenated, and genuinely grateful for the experience.

Really loved everything about this place. For the same price as what a budget hotel in Manhattan would cost, I had a beautiful giant king room overlooking the lake that included yoga, meditation, and breakfast. I took a couple nights away from home to write and was truly able to relax. Met a lovely woman there with whom I had interesting chats. Did a great gong meditation. Mid week in the off season is not busy at all and I really appreciated the space to just be. The staff was super friendly and helpful. You can utilize the meditation rooms whenever. The pool, hot tub, and sauna are beautiful. There is a giant lounge room with a waterfall and an activity room with games to play. There are a ton of a la carte treatments you can purchase like massage and hydrotherapy. (Make sure to book those in advance.) And there’s always an abundance of tea and coffee. The value of this place is really amazing, especially in the winter/spring. If you’re looking for some peace and a little unpretentious luxury, I highly recommend making a reservation.Rooms: Giant rooms, comfortable beds and pillows, comfortable lounge furniture. Amazing rainwater shower with bench. Towel heater. Robes provided. Bidet.

I am still here at this resort and I am SHOCKED by the good reviews on this site. They must be bots because there is no way that a “luxury resort” could deteriorate in service so quickly.Maybe there is new management? New owner? I get it that covid has been really hard. But do not mislead customers with false marketing claims.Of the things we are experiencing -1) dirty linens and robes in the room still in the dressers from previous guests.2) no housekeeping service for hotel rooms. No one has come in to make a bed or anything. I don’t expect turndown service but I do expect towels to be refreshed for a group of four people staying multiple nights and trash taken out. There is no sign about eco-friendly service which I am totally all for. But communicate with your guests!3) one of the massages that we booked is called “Abhyangam” and it is marketed with a video of a 4-hand massage, ie two people massaging the client in homage to an Indian Abhyangam massage. My sister has been to India and had such a massage. The masseuse told her “yeah we used to do that in the beginning when we first opened but now we don’t have enough staff.” And when we ask the wellness coordinator, he tells us that “nowhere on the website does it say it is a four-hand massage. It’s only on the video.” Which is a video EXPLAINING the massage. This is a $200 massage for 50 min. One of the most expensive on the menu. This is absolutely misleading.4) we were not onboarded by anyone. We were just given a folder that contained misleading information. Wrong yoga times, and we were given a kosher menu that included all types of meat on it (just to say, we don’t keep kosher and we never intimated that we were) with no other menus. This is supposed to be a plant-based menu and when we inquired in the dining room, the waiter said those are frozen meals only for kosher guests and they really aren’t very good anyway. And it turns out that you have to be taught how to turn on the steam room and the jacuzzi and sauna because there is no attendant to do so. And that also means no attendant to clean up periodically during the day in those places, as is customary, so there is gross hair in different places from one day to the next and all of the women’s locker room showers have no hot water. We tried three.I can go on. It’s been crazy. This is a gorgeous property that is being left to fall apart (water damage on ceilings, missing buttons for the elevator so you literally have to touch an electric panel to go up to your room, etc). The jacuzzi was finally on one night and that was lovely. The vegetarian/ vegan food has also been good.We didn’t leave because this trip was for a friend who will be getting a bone marrow transplant in a few weeks. This is the last time she will be able to get away for months, and she was so excited to come back to this place. This is still a gorgeous property. But was this worth the money that we paid for it? No. Absolutely not.In short - DO NOT GO HERE. it will only get worse because no one is really taking care of it. It’s such a shame.Ps I don’t expect anyone will respond to this review. They don’t know how to. When I went to the desk to talk about the massage issue, the manager Susanna did the best she could, but they actually have no way to handle these complaints, nor the volume of them. We were the FOURTH guest this weekend to complain (that we know of, and we know because we all found each other looking baffled at what we were experiencing). She offered us merchandise from the store, or to personally give her discount next time we visited. But the point is this staff KNOWS this is not up to par or even close to what is advertised on the website. Thanks for listening. I hope I saved someone the hassle of going all the way there if you think the marketing and advertising is true. Maybe it was at one point. David Hayes (the general manager) should be ashamed of himself making this skeletal staff try to handle this huge hotel without the proper training and experience.Noteworthy details: This is NOT the luxury experience that the webs
