Dollar General Mount Vernon offers everyday essentials at affordable prices from right around the corner. The store provides a wide selection of items including food, snacks, health and beauty aids, cleaning supplies, paper products, and more. This location is noted for being surprisingly clean, very well organized, tidy, and well-stocked, especially compared to other locations. It is described as a nice, spacious store. Customer service is a mixed bag, with some staff being very nice, courteous, professional, and helpful, while others can be a hit or miss, sometimes showing a bit of attitude. A common issue is that the store is frequently out of stock on top-selling items. The best times to visit for a pleasant experience are late morning or early afternoon on weekdays, as it can get less packed then. Customers can save even more by using the myDG program and downloading the DG app for maximum savings and deals. Overall, it is a recommended store for its cleanliness, organization, and affordable prices.
I love the manager of this store! I love his work ethic and how well he keeps the store organized, well stocked, and immaculate. He is always working and has never raised his voice in the years that I've known him. He is the reason I continue shopping at this location.

Any one comments that this store is a mess is lying because this is one of the cleanest and tidiest dollar general stores this side of NYC- even though they have to put up with unruly customers who throw things wherever they feel. Only problem is they are always out of stock on top selling items
