I strongly believe that the Fleetwood area of Mount Vernon deserves its own dedicated post office. Currently, being served under the 10550 zip code has led to a number of frustrating and unprofessional experiences.
Most recently, a package of mine was marked as “delivered” on Saturday, June 14, 2025, at 1:48 PM—but as of now, I have not received it. I suspect the package may have been stolen by carrier, misplaced, or simply not delivered at all.
When I visited the post office in person to report the issue, I was disappointed by the lack of concern or resolution. The supervisor on duty took my information but offered no meaningful assistance or follow-up, and appeared indifferent to the situation. As a postal worker myself, I was especially disheartened by the dismissive attitude.
I was also informed that a flex (temporary) female carrier was responsible for deliveries that day. This aligns with my concerns, as my regular carrier has never mishandled my packages. It’s troubling to think that the substitute may have been negligent—or worse.
I hope this matter will be taken seriously and addressed appropriately. Residents of Fleetwood deserve reliable service and a post office that reflects the professionalism we strive to uphold.

This post office is trash and if I could give zero stars I would. My wife came over to get some to get a piece of mail. They were unprofessional, rude and poor attitude. When she tried to get mail they refused to look to see if we any mail via our address we had to come back with a tracking number. We came back today with said tracking number they're still rude and the information that we gave them is clear as day on the mail we picked up. On top of that they didn't even leave a notice for us to come back with. If I could give zero stars I would. Also, the review that says empress who gave the 5 star review is the clerk who was rude. Train your staff or hire new people. The poor service is ridiculous. Update: customer service is still poor, the reviewer named blue taco that gave 5 stars is actually the clerk herself that my wife and I had a very poor experience with. If you don't like your position then find another one

I am deeply disappointed with the service at this post office. The staff consistently display a lack of professionalism and courtesy, which is unfortunate for a community facility. This is only my third visit, as I typically avoid this location, and each experience has been similarly negative. If employees are dissatisfied with their roles, they should consider alternatives, as their attitude is affecting the customer experience. I sincerely hope USPS will address this issue, as it reflects poorly on the entire system. Each person working here is just beyond rude

They are extremely unprofessional spent over two hours In this postal office for passport for nothing, staff are very unorganized they tell you one thing and do another, and some staff are willing to argue with customers to the point where they have to be sent to the back very classy lol.

They stole a check sent to me. I’ve had numerous packages marked as delivered by them when in fact they were never delivered. Horrible post office, they need to get audited or get investigated by the government.

This a horrible, horrible place. The worker with the tag MD needs to be fired. It is annoying that a postal employee can keep their past their ability. I watch him yell at a man for 4 minutes because he wasn't being clear on the customers needs finally another person stepped in and gave clear instructions. It annoyed me that it took that long for someone to step in. Then when it was my turn he said I don't know what you want and waved me off. This cannot be service. There is also a strong language barrier! Yes people of all kinds need employment. However, you must speak the language of the land fluently without, accent ke dialect interference in ensure the customer gets what they need. Drive further to another Post Office.

If I was able to leave ZERO stars I would. Coming here was one of the worst mistakes you can make. The staff is EXTREMELY RUDE and always have a NASTY ATTITUDE. Michelle Ann and the young lady who handles the passports are by far the epitome of horrible costumer service I am so disappointed in the way the staff treats costumer customers. I been there a few times and the police had to be called because of the poor service and frustrating costumers to get their package or complete simple tasks. I would tell anyone not to come to this post office if you are someone like myself that appreciates good customer service

If I could leave 0 starts I REALLY would!!!
The people that work there are rude specially the lady that works there on Saturday’s Clerk #20 my receipt says, I went to return something 8/03/24 at 9:49AM and she is VERY rude.
Please be advise if you going to this location you will treated with an actitud!
They need a new job or retire if they don’t like their job!

Save your time and get your passport issued somewhere else.
The workers probably do not care about the ratings - what kind of customer service place tolerate 1-star rating? I have never seen a place with such a poor work ethnic. They clearly didn't seem to have any pride in what they do. I honestly do not understand how the staff are getting paid with this kind of attitude.
Hopefully not too far in distant future, we will fully automate this.
