Lady behind the window had the nastiest attitude. Lady with braids and her black lip ring was so annoyed that I walked into the office. Mind you, she was eating mcdonalds and didnt want to stop eating to sell me a stamp. Typical government worker, they all seem to be this way.

I am tired of being SCARED every time I need to use this location because of this woman!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! She always makes it hard, doesn’t explain and refused service, has attitude and she doesn’t know her job because other locations do exactly what she gives me HARD TIME!!!!!!!!!!! I am tired of having to drive 15 minutes to another location when this is one block away!!!! IS PATHETIC. Is humiliating to be treated like that!!!!

I had a great experience at the post office today! I was in and out quickly, and everything was explained clearly. The process was smooth and efficient, and the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. It made what could have been a stressful errand surprisingly pleasant. It was definitely one of the better post office visits I’ve had!
Wish they had better lighting, and it was cleaner.

I typically stray away from writing reviews but I had a horrible experience with the clerk behind the counter. I approached the clerk with respect and asked for her to include a signature as well. She replied with immediate rudeness and annoyance. It wasn’t just her but every last clerk had a nasty attitude, gave off energy like you’re inconveniencing their day by mailing something off, and their tones were very nasty.
I say this often as someone who has worked in customer service roles, if you do not like your job, quit! Do not take it out on patrons who are just trying to utilize a service.
I don’t think I’ll ever use this location again even though it’s the closest to my home.

The RUDEST USPS workers I’ve ever come across. If you can, try and avoid going to this location at ALL costs.

I generally give people the benefit of the doubt but after 5 years... yeah bro you need a new job. One lady specifically changes the rules daily of how and what packages and or letters have to be sent and expects you to know her rules of how and what the letters and or packages are to be sent that day.

questions how many corners are in a post office? I don't work in a postal office I'm not familiar with that so I don't know when you say in the corner. but on the other end, you need to help the customers you are here to provide customer service to be helpful. you are rude you are nasty you have no kind of customer service and you should go for training. God Bless me and any other person who goes to Fleetwood postal office went this lady is there. 0 stars

I have read every review about this USPS location from the past 5 years. The one-star reviews fell under 5 categories and there's an easy explanation or remedy for each:1) Folks in line got turned off by how some patrons were scolded for bringing random items inside the post office (a scooter, bike, dog). Remedy: Mind your own business and be less sensitive. The idiots who brought those things inside never left a review and followed the instructions to leave them outside.2) Long wait. Reality: Lines at every USPS are long. If you really are strapped for time, then pre-stamp your mailing and drop them off at self-service locations, where you can scan them in yourself and get a receipt.3) Delivery issues. Reality: There are THREE post offices in Mt Vernon. Your local mail carrier's performance has nothing to do with any particular post office. If you really are having issues, figure out who your mail carrier is and go from there.4) Can't reach this location by phone. Reality: Yes, this is true. Remedy: Don't call.5) This location opens late or closes early. Remedy: Come during the middle of the day. One reviewer said he could only visit this post office after work. That's just silly; you can visit another one close to work during your lunch break. With regards to the level of service and attitude of the USPS employees at this location, I don't find them either unpleasant or out of the ordinary. It was amusing to watch a patron get roasted when he demanded that his stack of 100+ envelopes be stamped individually by an employee. The atmosphere is that of a mom-and-pop shop with the occasional good natured jab. The Postal Service simply requires its employees to be honest and reliable. Everything that I have brought to this USPS location for the past 60 days have been handled with precision and RELIABLY delivered to the next distribution center the same day.

I visit this place frequently just because I live very close, but it's a nightmare mainly with one of them. What horrible service. Work as if you want no one to walk through the door.
