“I was a bit hesitant after reading about Kelly. I just went there this afternoon. Kelly was not only friendly and helpful, she was totally patient and knew her job. They say when someone complains and doesn’t back up their complaint with validity, it’s usually the complainer that that is at fault. Perhaps a visit to your therapist before you return to the Post Office and belittle Kelly is in order.”
“Very efficiently run little post office and those whom run it are very delightful and personable. They are always very friendly and helpful. I always keep the post office as my last stop of the day if I can help it as I know it won’t be a negative experience.”
“Carlos was an absolute delight. You really don’t come across great customer service anymore these days, especially In places like the post Office, where people are just trying to get through their day. What a pleasure it was to walk in here on a Thursday afternoon, and be greeted by such a pleasant smile and helpful demeanor. Carlos is the epitome of a someone that can truly change someone’s day around just by being kind and helpful. Someone that goes above and beyond, just because. Truly one-of-a-kind and I hope to see Carlos again soon. Thank you Carlos for being one of those people that restores my faith in humanity!”
“You find a lot of these village-serving branches in rural areas. Equal parts professional and casual and service you don't usually expect from the Post Office. You think of people waiting in line in a tense, clinical fashion waiting for disinterested employees. Not here. Just your neighbors at work. I'm glad when I have an issue with my mail, that these guys are the ones I go to.”
“For many years Linda was the face of the Averill Park post office and for the past several it has been Cindy - Both these people have been friendly and helpful in organizing shipping and mailing. They both always have a cheerful word and a smile in greeting. Great service, nice people..”
“A really nice small-town post office! Friendly, helpful service, a good selection of new stamps, and a convenient location in downtown Kinderhook. Come here to mail a letter, then walk a block or less to grab coffee or a bite at one of the nearby shops!”
“I had to renew my passport for an unexpected international trip while on a visit to the area. I was able to have my photo taken here which made this s one step process. Though that made the task very convenient it was the postal staff member that made it a pleasurable experience.”
“This is my favorite post office in the Capital District. The staff is always helpful and I know that if I ever have to do something of importance, I go here. It seems like the majority of negative reviews for this post office have something to do with passports. Well, you know what, this is not a passport office, it is a post office. They deal with mail primarily and passports is a small service that they offer. No one who is waiting in line to drop off their mail wants to see you filling out your passport application. So stop complaining and be glad that you can get your passport taken care of locally. I’ve never had any issues with them handling mail - they are great. And I’m sure that they are actually great at passports also. They are very professional and friendly as well.”
“Went in yesterday to ship my gifts for operation Santa. The woman at the counter ( I didn’t catch her name) was incredibly patient and helpful despite being unfamiliar with the process. This was one of the best post office experiences I’ve had anywhere.”
“I am always rushing to get to the Post Office before it closes, and the employee working at this time has always been helpful and nice. It’s a small place but gets the job done!”
“The person at the desk,Nancy, is one of the most kind and helpful people I've met, both with info and assistance. And she approaches every customer with that.”
