Love love love Smarty Pants! My daughter has been apart of the program for almost 3 years. She has advanced so much learning how to spell and writing. The staff is so pleasant and welcoming. The director contacts me personally about any concerns. If you want your child to grow and progress you've come to the right place. Well done.

Smarty Pants Daycare is one of only 3 minority owned daycares in Rockland County mainly servicing the Black and Brown residents of the county. The vast majority of the children who graduate out their UPK program enter public school already knowing how to read and write.This is why it is truly dispiriting and quite disappointing that a parent whose two children were at the school for over three years, is now trying to destroy the school which actually helped her children (Mika and Mateo)when no other school would.She reportedly tried to contact the owner on her personal phone on a Saturday; thus, she didn’t get an immediate response. When the owner later called her back (on a Saturday) and explained that she is out with family and would address her concerns Monday, she became irate.This parent then started texting insults to the owner’s personal phone —incidentally, the text messages were saved. This same parent was then advised that she is free to remove her son from the school, if not happy. She chose to remove her son; and, was issued a full refund of her tuition.This is despite the fact that per the school’s policy and the contract which she signed, the parent was not entitled to any refund.It is truly my hope that a cooler head will prevail before the law has to be involved —as it should be understood that libel and harassment are not protected elements of free speech!

I love love Smarty Pants Culture . It's a diamond in the ruff! With the expertise of the director, assisting parents with concerns referrals and services. My son is now speaking through services recommended by Ms. Hisha. In my opinion management can be even better with well deserved state programs as well as families paying on time . I found unfortunately this affected pre planned activities. God Bless your heart and passion. On behalf of my family members whose children also attended this establishment and the community we rate this a 5.

Amazing staff! My boys love it here! The director who specializes in Special Needs has been so supportive with helping navigate the services needed for my son! Very understanding and helpful and my children learn so much! Potty training support = PLATNIUM!

If you do not want to be called a “Clarkstown Parent” for advocating for your child and asking for an ounce of accountability and professionalism DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILD HERE. Tahisha the owner can “claim” all her credentials however she does not know how to run a business. My children are no longer there and drop offs have never been better. No more crying about not wanting to go to daycare. The kids now love getting up and going to daycare and ask even on vacation to go to school. THIS NEVER HAPPENED WHILE THEY WERE AT SMARTYPANTS. In addition to that, Tahisha will ask you to do personal favors, and will ALWAYS DROP THE BALL. Anything she says she has planned activity wise for the kids are either half planned or not at all. If you have a child doing the soccer program make sure you check that they are REALLY doing it.

Smarty Pants is a awesome school. They helped with my daughter's potty training, her writing, and he vocabulary is off the charts. The school exposes kids to all areas of learning. You will be more than satisfied with the growth of your child. I wouldn't recommend anywhere else.

Smarty Pants Daycare is an amazing place to send your child. I have been using them since 2012. I was nervous at first to send my daughter to any daycare. However, after the first day I was very happy with how the staff was with my daughter and helping her transition into the new setting. The daycare is a perfect fit for my children's needs. Here I am 2019 and I now have my second child enroll into Smarty Pants Daycare. Both my children love and loved the daycare. The teachers listen to your concerns and needs for your children and always address and answer any and all questions I have or had. They expose the children to art, music, reading, writing, math. Its such a great place. Im super impressed with the program and how much learning goes on there. Its not just naps and play time. Next year I will be enrolling my 3rd child. The staff is great, it nice, its clean and the all the children are happy there.

First I’d like to start off by saying I was very nervous bringing my son Jeffrey to school because he has a very attachment issue with me he was not potty trained and he only knew my family. Since he was a baby all he was with me and he was watched full time by my parents then I am rolled him into Smarty-pants he was potty trained in less than two weeks He will learn his ABCs the alphabet the days of the week in less than three weeks his two teachers miss Judy and miss Latoya are hands-down the best teachers that my son came across they care for him so much for his well-being They are very hands-on with him he talks about them at home they are absolutely amazing if I was able to give more than five stars I would thank you guys for everything you do for my little boy and making his time they’re very happy and educational every day he learn something new every since he’s been in school he’s a total different kid in a very good way I highly recommend this place thank you again*********** Barbara lucas

I have visited Smarty Pants randomly a few times. I find the daycare to have a very professional setting. Speaking from my observation the children are very happy and well taken care of. When the owner walks into each room the children run up to her giving hugs as well as expressing to her all the class work they have done. The staff is very good with the children, giving them a good balance of emotional and educational support. Being the Mama bear that I am before finding out my son was to old for there program, I was allowed to sit in on a few classes to see how the staff conducts themselves with the children. The breakfast and lunch that is given to the kids are prepared by a lovely woman who takes pride in her cooking skills while providing a healthy balanced diet. The class rooms are always freshly cleaned when I’ve randomly popped up. The playground is just as good as the public playgrounds for the the children. This daycare as well as the owner & staff gives off great vibes to me. The advantage to this daycare is that the owner has 17+ yrs of teaching pre-K, kindergarten children from other NYC boroughs, which give the children a leg up to graduating with knowledge of 1st grade school work. I was sad to find out my son was to old for the program and asked the owner if she ever considered opening a elementary school program please reach out to me. I have recommended Smarty Pants to a few friends and now their children happily attend. I would RECOMMEND this daycare to anyone.

I will say my kids went to this daycare for less then a year and within that time i had two bad experiences. First my 4 year old kept telling me he was scared to go down stairs so i had to keep them home with a friend waiting to find another daycare the owner then called me to find out what was going on as far as why i wasnt sending them anymore then made the accommodation to out him upstairs with his 3 yr old brother so we adjusted to that but my 4 yr old told me once they called him baby lala for crying about not being with the bigger kids. Then the cake hit the fan about a week ago my 3 yr old comes home and tell me ms.latoya brown hit him with a ruler then shows me and the teacher what she hit him with becase he wouldnt sit and do his work she then tells me my kid has hit other kids while being accused and very loudly trying to defend herself but has never brought this up before being accused.. So after all that the owner tells me my kids cant be in the same building with latoya brown seems a lil backwards if you ask me and the lack of care the owner has shows why the facility is being run the way it is this "teacher" who has asked me and my friend for personal favors (very unprofessional) still has her job there and possible doing this to other kids DONT SEND YOUR KIDS HERE. YOU WILL REGRET IT
