I don't know how you run a business when you're incredibly rude to customers. The manager needs to reevaluate his priorities. The other employees (Anil) were great, though.

Ronnie was great when I first rented the car. Upon dropping it off he was not there and the experience was awful. The guy didn't know how much gas I returned it with and charged me 55$ without even checking. The facility is in a gas station so even if I didn't return it full ( which I did) I could have put$ in it on the spot. There was zero communication and I was then told " oh there's nothing I can do"

Worse budget/Avis pick up point in nyc/long island. Picked up a Chevy that had no air in all four tires & zero oil in it. Then came to switch the car for another car. Now they give me a Camry with zero oil again. They wasted my time again and again over time not worth picking up a vehicle from here please save your time by not coming here.

Giving this location a 1 star is too generous. Customer service was horrible. I had called this location many times and no one answers the phone. When someone finally answered the phone, they put me on hold for so long that I eventually hang up. When I arrived, the person you see in the picture washing the car was asking for my employee id, questioning me how I got a rental discount and etc. The way he was talking to me felt I was be interrogated. The staff there insisted that I take the Kia Forte. The car was dirty both inside and outside. When I brought this to the staff's attention, he asked me if I wanted to take the car as is or if I wanted the car to be cleaned while the clock started to tick on my rental. As you see from the picture I included, he was washing and vacuuming the car. Next, I drove the car down the street and tire gauge light up saying low tire pressure. I drove the car back to the rental place to get air and I see one tire is damaged (see picture). This is totally unacceptable and unsafe to drive. As a result, I requested to get another car (the rental place did not offer to put me in another car) You would think I get another car in the same class I paid for. Instead, I was downgraded to a cheaper car. Avis / Budget need to find another agent to rent their cars or terminate their contact for this location (2050 New Hyde Park). Now I have a sour taste with Avis / Budget putting customers life at risk.

Horrible service, unprofessional and very dishonest. I'm shocked budget uses this place as a hub to pick up cars. This place should be out of business. This is the kind of place that makes it hard to support local businesses.

RENTERS BEWARE and anyone that gives them 5 stars must be a friend or relative. The car was dirty, damaged, flat, bald tires, bluetooth not fully functional. We had to exchange at another location which wasnt easy considering other locations have been warned not to accept exchanges from New Hyde Park location because all their cars are damaged. The staff at La Guardia Budget was courteous and understanding, can't thank them enough. ZERO ⭐

renters beware this place is utter trash. the car was filthy, damaged, a flat along with all the tires being bald & bluetooth was not fully functional. we had to go to another budget to swap out and it almost didnt happen. they were advised not to accept returns from new hyde park because all their cars are damaged. we are grateful they were kind enough to swap the junk we had. i wish i had read reviews before renting. minus zero

I rented at this location because of its vicinity to my home; I found it to be fine. It's what they call a "neighborhood location" and it's located inside a gas station (BP). I have rented here twice and both times had no issues. Yes, I can admit the first time the car wasn't perfectly cleaned out, but honestly same as other locations (ie the airport). There are not a lot ofvehicle choices, but they employees are caring. The gas station makes it convenient to fill-up before rental return and the location made it easy to get to. I give them a B+

HORRIBLE!! I have now rented here twice and both were complete disasters. First time I arrived a half hour before they opened with a reservation. Not a single car was available. I was told they wouldn't know when they would get any or if any were coming back to be returned. Not a phone call was made to be about this. I sat on the curb for three hours waiting. While calling all the others Budgets, and was told they were out of cars that I could go to JFK. Second time, the same exact thing, but this time it only took 2 hours. On top of which I was given a car instead of an SUV which was of lesser value. But was still charged for the SUV. The SUV had front end damage, I said I didn't feel comfortable leaving the lot with it. The employee said well just take a picture and hold onto for at least 6 months because Budget will come after you for it. I was totally baffled how a business could run like this. NEVER EVER again!
