My experience was amazing! Had passport done for my 11 month daughter with Tony and we were in an out quick! He was super friendly and overall a very pleasant experience.
Weeks later I had to ship something and the blond lady was so helpful. I needed a box and she tried different sizes to help me. My experience again was amazing! From parking to the pace of workers and there services very good job!!

The two clerks who helped me with my passport application today went above and beyond. I wish I got their names. They were kind, helpful, and patient. Highly recommend their services.

Not to be racist here. The Korean lady at New Hyde Park 11040 post office is rude and unprofessional. I was there trying to buy the express mail envelope prepaid postage for government official return mail purposes. This Korean lady was rude and told me she could not sell me the prepaid postage for the envelope. She insisted on buying the prepay postage, sealing the envelope, and handing the envelope to her at the spot. Otherwise, she wouldn't sell me the prepaid postage. Sealing the envelope at the spot is not an option for me because I have to bring the prepaid envelope in person to government agency visit.
I have lived at New Hyde Park for over 15 years, been to this postal office countless times. Everytime this Korean lady take me, she wouldn't give a bad attitude, pick on everything, and wasn't trying to be helpful at all. So this time, I just said thank you and walked out the door. I wanted a good 5 minutes in the car, then back to the postal office. Luckily, there's another gentleman at the counter, and he processed the prepaid postage transaction smoothly. After everything was done, I waited in line for the Korean lady again; just tried to get her name this time. Guess what, she refused. She even raised her voice and said why do I have to give out my name. Public servant needs to be professional at the job. Why would I say that, because I'm also a public servant. When people ask for your name at your job, you are obligated to provide them with the information. However, when someone refuses to give out their name at the job, that tells you a lot about the person's work ethic.
Complain filed at USPS website for postal employee professionalism issue.

Handing these people your license and expecting to receive your mail is too big a job. Couldn't be found. Was told to come back another time. Maybe it will magically turn up by tomorrow....

This is the worst post office!! customer service was horrific! I walked in for a passport and women told me that the supervisor left and she cannot take me because she has a long line, 1 person behind me. Then another employee gave me her name Kalindi. website clearly states that walk ins are between 3:15-4:15pm. She leaves and goes to the back leaving another customer that she was helping stranded waiting for her. Then another guy comes from the back and tells me that she does not want to take me and their policy is that you have to come at 3:45pm, I told him it does not state this on the website, but its their policy and they can do what they want....It was a horrible experience! DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!!! How on earth are these people employed by the Federal government. Truly insane they should be fired!

Absolutely lousy,,, service is lousy. The people are lousy. There’s an Asian woman that’s totally 100% useless. I I didn’t catch her name, but I had to leave there and go to another post office to get done what I had to get done one star only because there’s nothing less than that.

If I can give zero star. Huge line, 1 person on the window. The 2nd person just got up and left. Window attendant started taking personal calls and you can see her did not care about anything. Horrible experience do not come here if absolutely need to.

I have worked in New Hyde Park for almost 2 years and I have called the New Hyde Park Post Office many times for mail bins. I have rarely ever had mail bins for a large amount of mail. I have worked in other mail jobs and this is the first mail job where I almost never have mail bins.

Do not recommend this USPS location. Lack of professionalism and absolute
incompetence when it comes to serving customers.
