October Country Comics is considered one of the best comic stores in the Hudson Valley. It is one of the nicest and cleanest stores, with a large and amazing selection. This includes mainstream to indie comics, singles and trades, back issues, graphic novels, and a large clearance section. The staff and owner are knowledgeable, engaging, helpful, informative, friendly, and always willing to help. They do not judge customers on taste and will try to order items in. The pricing is within fair market value and can be amazing, with some items like back issues for one dollar.
My favorite comic book shop in NY. Really good selection of trades and manga. New releases are always up to date. Ran by highly knowledgeable comic fans. Comics isn't a job for them. It's a way of life.
