I don't frequent Home Depot - usually it's on an as needed basis if I ever need to fix something in my apartment. I was running errands with my parents the other day and they were looking for some industrial-strength drain cleaner; they knew that HD carried products beyond the standard Liquid Plumr, so we decided to stop in. The look and feel of this HD is the same as others I've been to. It didn't take us long to find the drain cleaner, and one of the employees who was working in the aisle saw us looking and made a few recommendations for brands that were superior to others. Upon checkout, the line was kind of long, but it moved quickly. They had multiple registers open, and the team members working were quick to get everyone out a quickly as possible. I know HD experiences can be hot and cold, but I was impressed with my experience here. The store was clean, well staffed, and before I knew it we were out the door. I wouldn't hesitate to return here for my home improvement needs.

Very poor customer service. Came to return an item. Waited for 30 minutes for a manager because the return needed a manager's approval. No manager showed up to the front customer service area. Ended up leaving and going to another Home Depot. Will never return to this Home Depot. I would rather drive extra miles to get good quality service.

Worst of the worst stores to shop in. There is no manager on the premises. Lots of young kids running the joint. They have no clue. Plus they spend so much time judging around with each other and socializing and kidding around that they disregard the customers.

This used to be the preferred Home Depot because of excellent customer service. No more! Staff are gathering, joking amongst themselves, seeing that one is hunched over (me) and NOT ONCE approaching to ask if I need help. When I did ask for assistance and complained about the lack of customer service, one smart ass said I didn't ask for it. I then explained excellent service would not wait for customer to ask. They are not getting paid to party!

I visit HD more often than a person should, and different locations just to mix it up. I can say that this location can be hit or miss (more hit tho) depending on what you're looking for. The guys in the paint dept are great. The nursery staff is nice if u can find someone, lol. The Cashiers are generally good, especially Janette, whose really nice and although floor associates are as rare as unicorns, if you can manage to "trap" one, they're helpful, some even going the extra mile except Terrence, whose CS is needs work. And trust me, as a former recruiter and trainer...he needs a refresher stat! We appreciate the white haired older lady who heard us being given half assed info and walked to the opposite end of the store to get us someone knowledgeable to assist us.All in all, This HD is ok.Except TerranceDude needs training

The New Rochelle Home Depot is tremendously better than Port Chester, Stamford, Elmsford, and Cortlandt. It's so strange because you would think they are all set up the same, but the New Rochelle location has a better layout, more to offer, and seems to have exactly whatever you're looking for. The staff is very knowledgeable and helpful every time I've been there, but they never have enough cashiers. There's always a huge line to get out of there. But you know what, I'm not surprised. I work in construction and I'm at a hardware store or a Home Depot every single day, and this one is Elite. You will not be disappointed here.

I was sending someone to pick up preordered tile and called to see if I could add one more case to the order. All I needed to know was whether or not they had another box in stock. 45 minutes later, after speaking with just about everyone in customer service, some brusque, one helpful, no one could contact anyone in tile. The helpful person even paged a tile person to the front desk with no response. How does Home Depot do business like this? Do they even care that they are losing customers and cash? Why not just close the New Rochelle, New York store if you can't hire enough personnel? Or, why not just fire those who do nothing and give those who do work a raise to make their efforts worthwhile? We will simply go to Lowes.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS. This is by a wide margin the most poorly managed store that exists today. Not just the worst Home Depot, the worst store of any kind. I live nearby and unfortunately have no choice but to shop here. Not a single professional employee in the building. Wait lines to pay exceed shopping time no matter what time of day. What's worse than waiting to give someone your money? Employees spend most of their days on their phones avoiding customers as best as possible. Wake up Home Depot! This is pathetic.

The self check out it doesn't work or they closed it but yet they don't have it taped off so you'll have a line they're not understanding why they don't work. There's one cashier it's 11:30 AM and the line is all the way to the other end of the store. I went to the pro checkout and said hello and how are you very nice to the checkout girl she doesn't say a peep and she's she's moody. I told her I needed to give her a PO and she just stays there looking at a screen and not asking me OK give it to me now. Standing there waiting and waiting until I finally said do you need the PO now stole didn't say anything so I just gave it to her. This place is a disaster.

Don't believe what any of the Home Depot Installation sales reps tell you about their windows/doors "Double Lifetime Warranty." It's simply not true. Labor is not covered beyond 1 year! Look at their contract verbiage below. When I inquired about the discrepancy, this was my reply: "My understanding is the line references our lowest warranty that was available on an American Craftsman window which is 1 year and the others would in essence be an upgrade to it. I can assure you having been with Home Depot in the window installations business for over 8 years now they consistently favor on the side of taking care of the customer including any service concerns and issues." It's bullshit because the salespeople will be long gone by the time you file a claim. It's what's in the contract that you sign that matters in the eyes of the law; not a marketing brochure or something said in an email. Plygem/Simonton's customer service rep, Mikka, told me that they get lots of complaints from unhappy customers when Home Depot does not honor the warranty. Moreover, they told me HD's (underpaid) subcontractor installers make a lot of mistakes. All confirmed by Simonton's supervisor, Lori Hendershot. The 6500 series window itself is warranted for 20 years and prorated afterwards. This is taken from their contract. Workmanship is only for 1 year! 7. WARRANTY AND LIMITATION ON WARRANTIES: (a) Warranty: Unless otherwise stated in the Agreement, Home Depot warrants for 1 year from the completion date that all Services shall (i) be performed with good workmanship and (ii) conform to the requirements of the Agreement. During the warranty period and within a reasonable time after receiving notice from You of a warranty claim, Home Depot may, at its sole option (i) correct or replace each Defect, or (ii) remove each Defect and refund the full purchase price thereof to You; provided, however, that all warranties are voided if (1) anyone other than Home Depot or Service Provider performs work upon or otherwise modifies any materials or Services provided under this Agreement, or (2) You fail to pay Home Depot as provided in this Agreement. (b) Limitation on Warranties: THE WARRANTIES PROVIDED IN THIS AGREEMENT ARE STRICTLY LIMITED TO THE FOREGOING EXPRESS WARRANTIES CONTAINED IN PARAGRAPH 7A, IN THE WARRANTY SECTION OF THE AGREEMENT, IF ANY, OR IN THE STATE SUPPLEMENT, IF ANY. YOU ACKNOWLEDGE AND AGREE THAT NO OTHER WARRANTIES ARE MADE OR GIVEN BY HOME DEPOT OR SERVICE PROVIDER, INCLUDING ANY WARRANTY FOR FITNESS OF PURPOSE, WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY, OR ANY OTHER ORAL, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED WARRANTIES. HOME DEPOT'S EXPRESS WARRANTIES ARE VOIDED FOR ANY DEFECT CAUSED BY ABUSE, MISUSE, NEGLECT, ACTS OF GOD, LACK OF PRESCRIBED OR STANDARD MAINTENANCE, OR IMPROPER CARE/CLEANING. ANY MANUFACTURER'S WARRANTIES PROVIDED FOR GOODS, MATERIALS, OR EQUIPMENT WILL BE PASSED THROUGH BY HOME DEPOT TO YOU, AND YOU AGREE TO LOOK SOLELY TO SUCH MANUFACTURER FOR REMEDY OF ANY DEFECT IN SUCH GOODS, MATERIALS, AND EQUIPMENT. HOME DEPOT MAY ASSIST YOU WITH WARRANTY CLAIMS AGAINST MANUFACTURERS.

Literally come here at least once a week. They're usually pretty well stocked and plenty of staff around if you have questions.

Most Home Depot's have started to get lazy with these self service machines that the majority take only CARDS! They have the function to take both cash and cards, but don't want to have more clerks handle the public to flow everybody faster... I've been long turned off by Home Depots practices and long lines... I usual go to Loew as it's a much better store and faster with better customer service..

The staff in this store have horrible customer service and very rude. They had a nasty attitude and seemed annoyed when I asked for help. On top of that they force you to self check out, what if I'm not tech savvy and need a cashier to check me out I stead? The lady at the front line screams at you to go to self check out whether you want to or not. I refused and went to be checked out and when I got there the cashier was rude. No greeting, just demanding that you turn all your items to face the scan, isint that there job? He just stood there scanning items as I brought each one up to him. They need better employees in here. If you don't like your job, atleast pretend. That's customer service.
