“As much as I would like to, in good consciousness, I can't gatekeep this place. While, yes, the space is small, they cram an impressive assortment of product on their shelves. I had the privilege of being assisted by the owner of the shop who was unbelievably helpful in finding what I needed - a mix of liquor for my engagement party. I have not a single clue about flavor profiles of Champaign, I just needed something that was delicious and price effective. The owner made his recommendation, and I walked away with a bottle to sample at home. The bottle ended up being absolutely delicious, so I returned the next week for a few cases. Main Wines also has an extensive Whiskey and Wine selection - again, small shelves, but they seem to pack the hits here as well as some allocated bottles. I bought some whiskies and vodka along with my cases for those who imbibe, and was all set for my party (I even received complements on my selection...spoiler alert, I didn't pick them, the owner did). I hope to see Main Wines grow over the next few years, and I hope all the apartments they're throwing up around town will help with that effort. I'll certainly be back for my future needs!”

“Shopping at Main Wines & Liquors is always a great experience! First off, the prices can't be beat. I've priced some of the items I buy regularly and they are always more expensive at other local stores. The option to have your items delivered is another huge bonus. But the best part of this long-standing family business is the incredibly friendly and helpful staff. Bargo and Abraham are incredibly knowledgable of all of their products and they will go above and beyond to meet your needs. They have even ordered more obscure liquors for me and they regularly host tastings. I love stopping by not just to buy some booze but to say hello and chat with them a bit. It's the warm neighborhood experience we all need more of. Highly, highly recommend.”

“from outside the exterior looks old and plain which is the norm for many shops in new rochelle but house of wine is the dont judge a book by its cover kind as inside is grand with a many variety of wines and other liquors at prices you can deal with. needed two bottles of white wine for a evening gathering with friends and the gentleman who runs the place picked out 2 different wines at a cost of about 25 bucks each and my friends who enjoy drinking wine seem happen with both. glad i was able to support a local biz in new rochelle as it seems less new shops are opening compared to the many hi rise buildings that are popping up all other the area .giving house of wine 4.5 stars for making me look like a wine picking expert.”
