I stopped by Wallauer’s in New Rochelle yesterday and had such a great experience. Dilan and Josh were amazing, they really went out of their way to help me and made everything super easy. Both of them are so professional, friendly, and knowledgeable. The store itself is always stocked with everything I need, which makes shopping here a pleasure. Congrats to the whole team for the great service, I’ll definitely be coming back.

Super professional when it comes to paint. They will happily answer questions and are great at mixing paint, matching colors, use high tech machinery to insure paint color is perfect match etc.. Can be busy as many contractors come in to buy supplies, but don't be intimidated they are real pros and nice.

I’m incredibly frustrated with my experience today.
I came by the store to pick up paint samples, and they had a piece of paper on the locked door that said they were closed for lunch. Fine - but this hour lunch break was not listed online on in there hours anywhere else.
I came back a second time at 4p to get my samples - and confirmed they were open till 5p. I even said to the clerk, “I’ll be back before 5p to get paint”.
Just got back to the store at 4:50p and they have already blocked off the parking lot on one side, locked the front door and turned off the lights.
I tried to call the main line and they won’t pick up. I sat in the parking lot typing this, and the same worker who I had spoken to before came up to my car at 5:07 and asked me to leave the parking lot so he could lock the other entrance.
I asked him why they closed early and reminded him that I specifically told him I was coming back for paint. He told me it’s company policy to not mix paint after 4:40p….I asked why he didn’t mention this before and he didn’t have a response other than to tell me to come back tomorrow.
I explained that this was my third trip today - and that I don’t have the ability to come back tomorrow - and asked him why they were closed for an hour for lunch when it’s not posted online. He told me it was a human policy, whatever that means.
I’ve worked many jobs. None of them close the entire business for lunch without it being posted. Seems like your staff is intentionally avoiding customers. Shopping elsewhere.

While traveling, I like to visit building supply stores. I limed the clean presentation, not sterile, with minimal shelving stock, uncluttered.
Staff helped me troubleshoot a sprayer issue applying stain unevenly. Dude nailed it. Can't wait to get home & try it.
While I was there, I picked up some new paint brushes.

First time here, yesterday. I went to both Lowe's and Depot for an extending lopper, which they did not have. I then went online and saw that Wallauer in New Rochelle did. Went there and found it right away. Sales clerk at check out very nice and even gave me a $5 coupon off my purchase! I would come here again. Nice neighborhood Hardware store! Thanks guys!
