The new Windsor n.y. rite aid is understaffed. They don't answer the phone, so don't try to call in your life saving prescription to be refilled. And don't ask them in person why they won't answer the phone because they will yell at you because " they are understaffed", which now is your problem. Corporations like these ,should pay employees a living wage, maybe then, they can retain quality employees. If I could, I would rate them a minus two for customer support.

I've had nothing but great experiences with the pharmacy staff here both in person and in the drive-thru. I have only ever seen patrons being awful, and the staff handling it with patience. The pharmacy tech today worked hard to get medicine for my baby ready quickly, even though they'd just received the Rx from the doc.

If there is such a thing as half a star or NO star, that would be the grade. My son had vaccine last Saturday and was told that the second vaccine will be given in a different branch- Newburgh's but to call that branch to set up time only to find out after speaking with head pharmacy that they don't have delivery on the date given. They don't even have the Pfizer vaccine. Also that date given is after 4 days of shot (max time allowed) and not on its 21s where ideally would be. (4 days before and 4 days after is allowed) When I spoke with head pharmacy in New Windsor, she is not even certain on the delivery BUT was just told about it. What is going on??? They are giving covid shots with no guarantee of the second dose?!?!? What's alarming is that they don't communicate with each other and no one knows exactly when and where the delivery would be! So what now??? Had we known their system is so poorly organized ... we should have gone to CVS or somewhere else! So beware! Ask if they are sure your children will get the second vaccine! Otherwise it's futile to get it from there!

With Walgreens across the street, I quickly got away from this RA and never looked back. Slow, never have the meds needed quickly, disorganized and long lines all the time! What did it for me: Asked me did I need the prescription right away for an eye infection where my eye was shut swollen. This was always an issue with any medication. My response " Will Christmas make it more convenient for you? ". It was in March. If it wasn't for a friend who was with me, who asked can you call another pharmacy to see if they have the medication? Look at her face? I would have had to wait. I don't know how they are still open. Staff would never survive in NYC, they would be eaten alive with their backwards mentality and lack of knowledge and foresight! They once labeled a script for an eye rinse to be used in my ear! If I had the same mindset as those working here, I'd be in a bad way. Thankful I'm a NYC woman that is smarter than a 5Th grader.
