“Newark Head Start is part of the Fingerlakes community action program that also runs centers in Sodus, Lyons, Palmyra, Wolcott, Clyde and a few other towns and cities in the Wayne County area. Head Start will make your child's head smart because they provide programs that teach them things they need to know to be ready for Kindergarten and beyond. Here, the teachers and staff will teach them colors, numbers, songs, and how to play well with others, as well as positive interactions and healthy habits. Staff also strives to maintain great relationships and communication with families that will help them achieve success in life when sometimes all you need is a kind hand up, not a hand out. The facilities here are well maintained and the outside playground is a huge hit with the kids. This is not a day care. Head Start is a program that gives your child an advantage over other kids that don't attend the Head Start program. If you want your child to learn and grow and maintain a positive healthy attitude, this is perfect for you. I have worked on the policy counsel and the board of directors and I can honestly say this is by far the best program around and it will make your life better in many different ways. The Fingerlakes Community Action Program is a large network of local gvt aides and services and can help connect you to anything else you need for future stability and success in life. Head Start would get a 6 star rating if I could. Check them out! You will not be disappointed!
