First of all, the pharmacist Sarah is phenomenal. She has been great in getting my script filled the last 5 months utilizing manufacturers savings card when my insurance won’t cover.\\n\\nAfter 5 months, the manufacturer is trying to restrict the drug utilization to a specific diagnosis code. I have 3 diagnosis codes, none of which work. Techs were great at trying to run it, unfortunately could not get it to work.\\n\\nToday, I called and told them the spiel of how because of diagnosis code it’s not covered and if that’s the case I’d like to try and transfer this to Walmart (there has been talk that lawyers have been in contact with the manufacturer to remove the diagnosis requirement, however can’t confirm until I try to fill my script here).\\n\\nThe tech gave my script info to the Pharmacist and Walmart called me and confirmed they received it.\\n\\nI call Walgreens 4 hours later to have them transfer one more script and apparently this is not how you transfer scripts - the other pharmacy needs to call them. Confused and frustrated, I told the tech I just had a script transferred this morning, following the same process I’m doing now.\\n\\nI speak with the pharmacist and come to find out that yes, the other pharmacy is supposed to call and that’s how they’re transferred. I told her I did not know that was the process, the tech did not tell me that on the phone and you guys just transferred it. Had someone told me they were doing it as a courtesy I would’ve known for next time.\\n\\nShe said and I quote “You should be happy that we transferred it for you as a courtesy this morning”. I was irritated with the way she said this and told her that how scripts are transferred is not common knowledge to non pharmacy workers and that my perspective is that the first way would be normal and when I call back to same staff 4 hours later to get the runaround it is very frustrating.\\n\\nAm I happy they transferred my script? Of course. Am I annoyed I get the runaround the second time? Yes. Am I annoyed with how the pharmacist told me that I should be happy with them? Yup.
