Commodore Chocolatier is a very special, awesome chocolate shop in Newburgh, New York, and a must-see legacy place in the Hudson Valley. It is a small, family-run shop where everything is prepared by hand on the premises. The outside of the building looks a little sketchy, but the inside is gorgeous. Walking into the store is a treat, filled with the wonderful smell of their handmade chocolates. It is not a cafe or a restaurant; what they do is make excellent candy. They have an amazing selection of very unique and traditional sweets, with a good variety and something for every taste. The chocolates are amazing. The staff is always kind, providing impeccable service and a very friendly vibe. It is a place visited for every special occasion and holiday, bringing back good memories for many. Prices are fair, and there is plenty of parking out front. It is highly recommended, and you will not be disappointed.
