RUDE! RUDE! RUDE! Stay away! I went a purchased a bunch of records. This tall manly looking older woman was omnipotent & uptight. I spent 1.5 hours looking through records. I checked everyone of them individually for scratches & to make sure the correct record was inside. It was 20 minutes to closing when I approached the counter. The impolite woman demanded that I place the records on the counter because she has to look through them. Okay, no big deal except she was rude. I advised her that I wanted to look through them myself first to make sure I wanted all of them,. Her reply, "Didn't you do that already when you spent over and hour looking at them?!" WOW!Anyway, I let the person behind me go to not hold up the line to make sure I wanted all the donated vinyl at $1.99 per record. I placed them all on the counter & the woman started taking them out of the cover & the sleep and examined each one individually. I asked her what she was doing & she explained that she was checking to make certain that the correct ones were inside. I advised her that I examined each record carefully while in the store for over an hour. She then exhaled a very big sign, rolled her eyes & said, "Well, this is the policy & I will be doing it again!" I was then pissed! I did adopt & an attitude with her that met hers. The other staff in the store were mumbling judgemental language towards me regarding the transaction. The woman was then placing all the record sleeves all crinkled back inside the covers. I starting taking them and fixing them & again another attitude! She said, "You can fix at home we need to leave soon" It all went downhill from there. I left & called the corporate office & I am waiting for a call back to lodge a formal complaint against the staff at this location. The prices are insane, $1,500 for a used couch! The staff is rude! So much for a Christian organization. I have been shopping there for many years and never had anyone demand that each record be individually examined.

Prices on some things are antique store prices. Most things are not thrift store prices. But they are a good organization.

Eclectic range of household items. Well organized and helpful staff. Don't expect too much from the offerings and you won't be disappointed.

I'm usually pretty bored by ReStores; it's all furniture and old appliances. This one is a little different! They have a pretty cool selection up front of weird CDs which usually keeps me busy for the whole time my fiancee is wandering around looking at her genre of stuff. I usually walk out with a handful of things for under $5, which is all it takes to make me happy.

I had a great experience today. Christen was so helpful in finding some great pieces to add to my new apartment! Plus they had plenty of cool, vintage records to purchase. I will be back for sure!

I think it is an amazing place. We could not believe some of the prices. We’ve purchased a few items there and you never know what you’ll find. It’s fun just to drop by and see what’s there. Great prices and good things are waiting for you :-)

Somebody down below wrote that this place had a "waft of cat urine and mothballs" and was a good place to get "fleas and bedbugs". Well, if I hadn't already been coming here regularly, this would have sealed the deal and necessitated an immediate pilgrimage. Especially nowadays when, more often than not, thrift shopping means bright, clean Goodwills and Savers located in suburban strip malls. Unfortunately, I didn't smell the promised cat urine and napthalene the last time I was here, but then again maybe I'm so used to these smells that its hard for me to notice. What this location does offer is a fairly sizable space filled with furniture, housewares items, a lot of really bad wall art, a rack full of ratty old suitcases and sports equipment and a good amount of records, CDs and books (which not all Habitat ReStores carry). On my last visit here I picked up a good-sized stack of classical records which included Shostakovich's pretty bad-ass "1905 Symphony", as well as a couple of books. Might some of the couches and stuff have fleas or bedbugs or (hopefully) mystery stains? Possibly yes, but there's more to life than not having bed bugs. Is the staff rude? Don't know, don't care. I don't come here to make friends, I come here to ransack the place for ratty old luggage and dusty Shostakovich LPs and if I'm lucky, get a "waft of cat urine".

Went today store definitely has changed and not for the better. Prices are ridiculous high. Atmosphere was stiff and super organized with inflated prices on almost everything. Good news is you wont have to worry about social distancing not very busy . I hope they see the error of there ways and go back to the way it was run. It was more fun and enjoyable to shop then.

There is a female manager and she has made all interactions with HOH restore of Newburgh horrible. Whether donating or purchasing she is beyond rude and inconsiderate. Steer clear.
