Ramada by Wyndham Newburgh/West Point is a hotel that offers a mixed experience for guests. The rooms are generally clean and comfortable, with beds described as cozy. However, some guests have noted that the rooms appear dated with signs of wear. The hotel is currently undergoing renovations, which may improve the overall quality in the future. The hotel's amenities are a point of contention. While some guests enjoyed the complimentary breakfast, others were unable to find it or get assistance from the front desk. Additionally, the lack of an ice machine or available ice on request was a disappointment for some. The hotel's environment has also been a concern for some guests. There have been reports of strange or unsavory characters on the premises, as well as issues with noise and unsupervised children in the hallways. The hotel's use as a shelter for some individuals has also contributed to the overall atmosphere. Despite these challenges, some guests have had a positive experience, with staff being described as helpful and the hotel providing a good basic place to stay for a couple of nights. Overall, the Ramada by Wyndham Newburgh/West Point offers a mixed bag of experiences, with potential for improvement as the renovations progress.
The hotel needs updating. It is dirty, smells like smoke and has doors that do not work. I would never stay there again.

Booked a room to stay for the night. Room smelled like mildew and cigarettes despite being called a no smoking room. Not clean at all. Hotel is very much in need of serious renovation. You are much better off looking elsewhere for a place to stay.
