I had a bad experience with other rental company trying to pick up a car from Niagara international airport where the whole airport was empty and no one was at the rental car desks .
Had to cancel & make the last minute reservation at Hertz Military rd location, Jack was super helpful with the easiest process getting me a SUV, definitely renting again here when I am back in town.
Smooth transition, friendly staff

Hertz was wonderful to work with. We actually accidently booked a rental at another Niagra area airport. We considered getting a Lyft to the rental pick up point, but getting back for the flight would have been a challenge. Hertz was able to get us an available rental at their location. They were so easy to work with and even provided a ride to their main office so that we could pick up our car. Thank you for working with us and helping us solve our fiasco!

Great rentals and prices. Highly recommend, no issues and mich easier to rent for people with less established credit unlike enterprise who wants an arm and a leg.

We had two reservations with Hertz (L2561418453 at JFK, 13.-22.July 25 and L2562691582 at Niagara Falls) 22.-31.July 25, both booked a month in advance. In both cases, no car was available when we arrived. At JFK we waited over 2.5 hours, only to be told there was no car that day – the vehicle was delivered to our hotel only the next evening. At Niagara Falls, the same thing happened again: no car, not even close to the category we reserved.
On top of that, Hertz at JFK told us not to refuel the car as a “gesture of goodwill” – but at Niagara Falls drop-off I was charged USD 83 for not filling the tank. At least Hertz JFK did us a refund for the lost days without a car. But Hertz Kanada, No refund for lost rental days, no real apology, and staff even pressured us to leave positive feedback.
I am a Gold Member, yet I was treated in the worst way I’ve ever experienced with a rental company. Both reservations were ignored, customer service was careless, and promises were broken. This destroyed my trust in Hertz – I will never rent from them again.

This was the worst car rental experience I had in my entire life.
We booked via hertz official website with a debit card - full protection, refuel etc.
Got a confirmation of our reservation - no problem.
After arriving at the destination the hertz employee asked us to present the card for blocking the deposit, he was able to block 500 usd on our debit card just to inform us that according to him it doesn’t work.
The manager, who didn’t want to talk to us because as she said „she had her GM on the line”, imply informed us that she can’t do anything for us.
And the guy working here, who previously blocked our usd500, handed us a FLYER with a number we should call to get our money back.
The complete lack of support, zero information on the website and unprofessional attitude completely ruined a great day we had so far at the Niagara Falls - thank you hertz, we will not rent from you anything ever again.

Charged my chard 200$ and didn’t state the reason car was brought back clean definitely don’t recommend doing business here there’s better options and cheaper deposits at other places.

I had a confirmed reservation and prepaid $256 using my credit card. When I arrived at the location this morning to pick up the vehicle, I was shocked to be told that I needed to provide an additional $302 deposit on the spot—something that was never clearly communicated during the booking process.
Despite already having paid for the rental, I was denied the car because my credit limit didn’t allow for the unexpected extra charge. The staff showed zero empathy or willingness to help, even though I was standing there with a fully paid reservation. No car, no refund, and no support.
So essentially, Hertz took my money and gave me absolutely nothing. I was stranded, my plans ruined, and I’m now left to fight for a refund for a service I never even received.(PS: I never received the refund)
This isn’t just poor service—it’s exploitative and misleading. I’ve rented cars around the world, and this is hands down the worst experience I’ve had with any rental agency.
Avoid this location unless you enjoy being charged and abandoned. I will never book with Hertz again, and I strongly urge others to reconsider

A store with extremely bad character! After returning the car on time, money was stolen from the credit card for two consecutive days. Email complaints were useless. They only said it was an advance payment, but in fact they were deducting money every day for late return! Extremely bad! ! !

You need a credit card to get a rental the only kid they sometimes be rude but just tell you No off the bat.

Unwelcoming guy, very dirty car I really don’t know how it’s possible, not possible to have another one.
I don’t recommend this agency and hertz anymore.
