It’s a shame that Micheal’s has joined Walmart and other stores by selling items by “marketplace type sellers”. That, and the fact that they send different coupons to everyone has turned me off to their stores.looking for an online alternative for now

We visited this location yesterday (Sept 18, 24) around 3pm. It was extremely busy and only 2 staff members working. The young girl (who must have been doing the framing) had a line up, and the other, older woman (manager perhaps) was running around between customers.
Our complaint is not with them. They were doing their best. Our complaint, and concern, was: THERE WERE ONLY TWO PEOPLE WORKING IN THE ENTIRE STORE!!! TWO! As we waited for help, we observed people walking out with items they didn't pay for (I guess it's easy when you ONLY have two people working and they are both too busy to watch for dishonest people)
We normally love visiting Michaels, but this really left a bad taste in our mouths. Staffing needs to be improved at this location.

Hello Hobby Lobby! Don't know if this is a corporate move, but the Niagara Falls location has gone all self-checkout. As if I needed one more reason to do my craft shopping across the border, where the selection is greater, the prices far better and the sales often phenomenal. There is now one clerk on site to assist you in doing what used to be their job. I asked how much I was being paid for it. She said the weekly coupon discount is our reward.

the guy on self checkout wearing a turban on head was really helpful, he spoke so politely and his nature was so friendly. Even being at self checkout he helped me to find embroidery flosk and cart. I loved shopping here!

Michaels is not a bad store at all... until you visit the Niagara Falls one. They have a HUGE 40% discount on the aisle for adhesives, when I asked for it, the cashier told me that applies only to the products displayed under the sign and no to the adhesives on the aisle. The sign said 40% adhesives. Anyways, I asked the person who was at the cash to apply the store's 30% discount instead, he refused to use the ones they have and asked me to find mine online if I want the discount. I ihad to go to Walmart because everybody know Michael's prices are inflated to offer that 30%. Avoid going to this store (Niagara Falls), no wonder the parking lot is empty.
