So many products opened or with damaged packaging or protective coverings. HD is such a huge store! On the other hand, there are bright spots also! We recently had to return an item that we had purchased due to difficulty using it. Karen was the kind smiling Individual who assisted us and her friendliness and bubbly personality made it all so much better. I wish ALL stores and companies had such a caring individual like Karen working for them!

The staff were poorly trained and rude. One staff member in particular; Serena, was especially rude to me and my family. As we went to go find another staff members help, she proceeded to go on her phone and take "selfies".

I just had the worst experience with Home Depot failure to train their employees correctly so they cannot handle a will call at any point in time if it's after the hours at the produce shut closes down customer service manager is a b**** I'll try not to deal with this Home Depot anymore especially after hours of the progress shutting down for today

Nothing to do with covid. A friend purchased two window ac's for will call on the sixth of May, it's the 10th and the order wasn't ready. Been waiting for a half hour already. Why have a will call when you don't have a will call. I highly suggest Gui's lumber on Porter road. So much better for the customer there. All home depots suck and I hate them. I would rate zero stars but I can't.

This place is horrible. All they care about is the sale. Bought a dishwasher that installation was rescheduled for twice. Waited weeks just to have someone come out, took off work and all. Once they finally came the guy says he can't install it bc the water shut off is in the basement. He left and now the dishwasher is sitting in the cold garage. Not one person along the way could have mentioned this? Absolutely HORRIBLE customer service. They are rude and dismissive and could care less how badly they inconvenience someone.

So at the end of June, I bought a canopy from Home Depot, to use at my grandson's birthday party. When we opened it up, one of the struts was broken. So we took it down to contact Home Depot about it. While we were taking it down, several more pieces of it broke. We noted that the aluminum of the frame broke where they had screws thru it, and that the aluminum was rusted. So a couple of days after the party, I contacted Home Depot regarding this issue. Note that the Canopy is a Hampton Bay canopy, which is Home Depot's brand. They gave me a case number and requested that I send pictures of the damages. On July 7, I sent pictures of the damaged struts to Home Depot, clearly showing the rusted ends where it had broken. On August 16th, I sent a follow up email, noting that Home Depot had not responded to me. This canopy cost me $193.32 and Home Depot could not be bothered to respond to me. This is just another example of corporate America not caring about their customers, because they know that they will still make money off the others out there. Anyway, don't EVER buy Home Depot brand goods. They will not stand behind their products.

Ordered a dishwasher and paid for installation, plus removal of old one. Delivery folks said installation couldn't be done because old dishwasher was hardwired in and they didn't do *that* type of installation. Nothing in the order said that they are only capable of doing certain installations. Now we are left with an extra dishwasher in the middle of our kitchen. Why not say in the order or clarify with customer what kind of hookups can be done?

This store is so overwhelming. As a relatively new home owner I find myself torn between the cost of hiring someone to do things and pulling a DIY move (that could cost me more in the long run lol). Thankfully, I used to work here back in the day and I can find morsg things and have a general idea of how start certain projects. Unfortunately whenever I have a quick question or need guidance there is no one around. Or when I do find someone it always feels like it's an inconvenience that I'm asking questions. It's sad but I try my hardest to do the most extreme research that I can on any projects that I have just to avoid needing help in the store. The good part is that they almost always have what I need. I will pretty much go here when I'm 80% confident with the project I'm doing. However, I will go else where when it comes to gardening , plumbing or anything that requires direction and assistance. Special orders are hit and miss too but sometimes price will lead back to the last place you'd rather be.

F*** home depot! Bought a new washer and dryer, same day took my money said they would deliver it and hook it up for us. Never showed up. When I called them to see where they were, they said they would transfer me and hung up. Horrible service. Horrible customer service. Horrible people from the delivery company. Rude. Never again. Bought a new washer and dryer from GEORGE'S! That same day we got it. Home depot can suck a dick

Great store, the employees were extremely helpful. I was in and out of the store quite quickly. They offer a veterans discount and they were welcoming of my service dog, Chester.

Employees are great but only buy what you can take home that day. The second you give them money, they’re gone. Trying to get a kitchen installed, appliances were all messed up, cabinets are a no show, promised delivery dates of sink and hardware went from on time to months out without notification. Customer service doesn’t care, no escalations. Spent extra money to get things prepped in time, no-one showed up. Time off work wasted and no where to cook for who knows how long. Weak excuses. They have no control over their supply chain or vendors. Shop with local stores. They care. We are midst of cancelling and using local suppliers. Over $30k spent in one sitting and they just took our money and ran.

Had a wonderful experience thanks to Meghan from the service desk. She was very kind, delightful and helpful when several others were not and were very dismissive if you go there and need to use the service desk definitely ask for Meghan shes easily the best and friendliest at that desk and possibly that whole store.

The issues at this Home Depot store#7174 in Niagara Falls Ontario are: #1 lunches and breaks are either missed entirely or are at least an hour late. Our front end managers Betty, Yogi, Colleen aren't real organized that way.#2 lack of proper training. As a cashier I am asked to work at main cash or in the garden center. I asked for training in the garden center, cause I don't know that much about it. Honestly the training was a joke. It was a one page online document that told me nothing about the plants, the products that we sell, or how to answer customers basic gardening questions. It was abysmal. When customers ask me questions, I can't answer them which is very frustrating.#3 employees don't answer our calls for help on the communicators we use. I've had situations where I call for help with either trying to identify the sku# for an item cause the customer brought me one with no SKU and the customer doesn't know what it's called. Or situations where we need back up cashier's and we get no answer. Or situations where we need the keys to the cabinet to get fuses for the customer. Or we need lot attendants to assist customers with carry out or putting mulch in their car. Customers are left waiting cause we don't get an answer.#4 Then there's bullying issues in our store, where if you report it, you receive retaliation.#5 The management doesn't follow proper covid 19 rules for social distancing. Betty a manager has decided to go against company rules and put a cashier right next to me on #5. I am on #4 I object and according to Betty, if you don't like it just put gloves and a mask on. I explained that I have a 70 yr old mom at mom, I don't want my safety put at risk. She doesn't care. Thankfully the other cashier left finally.Apparently managers don't take our safety seriously.Thankfully I have found a full time job elsewhere and will be leaving home depot soon. For all the customers who have issues with Home Depot in Niagara Falls ONHome depot is a messed up company. Management is incompetent! Totally disorganized, and really quite stupid. As an employee You ask them for proper training but You don't get it at all. Breaks are missed or forgotten. They try to schedule you for hours that don't even coincide with store hours.Help is almost never readily available when needed for customers so as cashier's we get the brunt of the customers anger and frustrationFeel free to Contact head office Kimberly J McMillan, she's a regional manager
