We booked our room through priceline. When we arrived we were told that their computer system was down and told to write our credit card number on a blank piece of paper. (Which I, of course, declined to do) We were given a room key. We went to the elivator. When the elevator doors opened the a strong stench billowed out and a man with a shopping cart full of filthy, 1980's looking light fixtures stumbled out mumbling something. Not only was the room not a 2 bed room like I had booked, (just had 1 small bed) but it smelled like dirty sox and urine, the phone was broken, the one lamp in the room was also broken, so it was dark. When we returned to the front desk we were given no apology, no effort was made to be curious, and were told that they could not give us a room because their "computer system was down" and they then just stared at us rudely. It felt like we were being told blankly to "leave". So we did, into the dark in a snow storm to try and find last minute accommodations. Priceline attempted several times over the span of several days to contact the hotel in order to confirm what had happened. I was told by Priceline that they could not get anyone at the hotel to answer their calls. I did eventually recieve a refund from Priceline, but the whole experience, at what I had remembered being a nice, well kept pleasant hotel, was like a trip to a dungeon of horrors. Very sad.

This hotel needs a massive renovation. Floors are dirty, not sure when the room carpet was cleaned and my room smelled like cigarettes.Front desk was helpful and welcoming. Location is a plus, only 5 minutes from the airport.Would I stay here again, NO.

We stayed in this hotel on 3/5/24. TERRIBLE HOTEL.Now i know why the parking lot was almost empty. THEY DON'T HAVE A SHUTTLE. The desk said the shuttle was in for repair. The 2 shuttles are in their parking lot with NO PLATES. They gave us a number for a Taxi that cost $35 to go 1.5 miles one way. The driver said they don't have shuttle. Our room smelled like a locker room. It was not clean. Some of the lights in our room did not work. The phone did not work so we could not get a wake up call. When we returned it cost us $25 for another taxi. The staff on when we picked up car said they don't have shuttle but owner would not remove from website. TERRIBLE TERRIBLE! LESS THAN 1!

First of all, I walk in the hotel, the cigarette stench hits me in the face, the clerk was not there and after two phone calls and 20 mins of waiting he finally appears.We get all checked in head to our rooms and the hallways have marks on the walls the carpet is nasty and the changing smells are all awful.The rooms are diabolical as well. They all smell terrible, clean enough where I don’t think they are cleaned and in our room especially there are suspicious hairs everywhere.Overall the place is disgusting, it generally feels unsafe and would not recommend staying here.Safety: No

They gave my room away so I had to use the hotel across the parking lot. Luckily there was availability - it was midnight when my plane got in. Oh, and they still charged me. Working on getting my money back

Absolutely the worst experience I have ever had I slept with my clothes on because the room was so dirty and moldy I stripped the bed Make sure there was no bed bugs got new sheets looked in the bathroom the shower had a ring around it with hair in it it was old it smelled musty and dirty I only stayed one night after I booked two now I am in a fight with this company to get my one night back

Showed up for check in room wasn’t clean was a disaster and smelt gross. Found flys on the sheets over displeased with my stay and I will never be staying at this hotel again. Wish I had read all the reviews before I booked.

Lady on frt desk never scheduled me for air port shuttle. House keeping never told 2xs to refresh room, I got new bedding and made bed myself. Have to get toilet supplys myself .just asked for toilet papper lady at frt counter said all out ,How can your manager run a place like this. Only 2 our of 4 washers work .Noteworthy details: For people staying for long periods of time to check your credit cards for withdrawals with out your permission, I'm fighting with corporate for $1,000.00 that I never authorized place is not safe for single women parents , management is terrible

Nobody here acts like they have ever worked in a hotel before. We booked directly through the IHG app and prepaid. We have stayed at many IHG hotels before and are rewards members. Staff said they had no record of our booking, took my husbands phone with the booking confirmation and proceeded to ask the IHG chat how to check in a guest. IHG guest relations rep talked directly to the manager trying to check us in and it was like the manager didn’t understand or didn’t want to attempt to understand what to do. It was baffling honestly. I truly wonder if it is a front for money laundering or a scam of some sort. IHG corporate needs to come in and sort it out. We stayed at the holiday inn express across the parking lot with a lot better service. Never again.

Had a huge winter storm come in to my hometown so had to land in Syracuse. Booked this hotel at 10pm before my final flight took off and made it to the hotel at 2am and was told the website allows you to book rooms even when they are full and to put my name on a white piece of paper for a refund by the guy who reeked of weed at the front desk and to walk across the street to the other hotel. Being a female alone this all felt very sketchy wandering around at 2am. Still waiting for a refund this hotel doesn’t answer their phones DONT BOOK HERE!!

*UPDATE*I received a call from Candlewood and she informed me that they had in their system I was scheduled to Check out 1/8/2024, however she seen I checked out on the 5th. But due to the system showing a check out date I was charged another $260.13. If it is $100.50 a night and the 5th 6th 7th were days I was now paying for even though I had already checked out where do the get $260.13. She informed me to call IHG who runs their hotels to let them know what was going on so that management can take a look at what is going on. At this point, I will never use Candlewood ever again in my travels and stays. And the first refund of $400.50 still has yet to applied to my account.I arrived at almost midnight to get a few hours of sleep before my flight the next day. The price WAS fair that night $50 hold to my card and $87 for the night plus tax for about $105. Not bad for last minute plans.Then I get to my room I had to use all my body weight to try and open the door. I went down, and let the lady at the desk know I was having a hard time as the door was stuck shut, her response " just really push into it as hard as you can.." REALLY!!! Well I did and hurt myself in the process.Room was clean for the most part however the walls had marks on them from stuff being up against them or old paint showing through.Today my day of travel I look at my online banking to find NOT ONLY DID THEY CHARGE ME THE HOLDING FEE TWICE BUT AT TWO DIFFERENT AMOUNTS, THEY CHARGED MY CARD $400, YES $400 for a 1 night $105 stay.I call and speak to Taylor at the front desk who was helpful in stating yes that was incorrect I shouldn't be charged that and she will fix it, She hung up before I could also tell her the holding fee was charged twice. I tried to call back to make sure that would be fixed as well and it rings picks up you can hear back ground noise and then it hangs up.This is the first time anything like this has happen, but to charge my card 4X the amount I was supposed to and not give an explanation as to why that amount was charged, like an " oh I'm sorry the morning person charged the wrong room to you card" nothing, just a "that's not right I don't know why they charged you that" and then I had a $0.00 Door Dash charge and I don't use door dash and I'm traveling, like am I really idering Door Dash to an Airport. Makes me wondering if someone there is skimming cards.So now I have to wait over 3 days to have the charge reversed and see if more charges from my experience cause any other charges.Rooms: Door wouldn't open and I hurt myself trying to open the door as it was stuck shut with no help from anyone.
