Worst bank I've ever dealt with to this day. Generally they have below average financial products to start with. Incident after incident with this location. Firstly on TWO separate occasion I made an ATM withdrawal where machine glitched and "ate" the card. Both times this unfortunately happened on a Friday after they were closed so both times I could not use my account for the entire weekend. They admitted this was a known issue but had no process of helping someone until the bank was open again. I had to go into work late just to get my own card back. If this was my main account I would have been completely SOL Friday-Sat both times. They had intermittent issues with their bank software so these problems continued for a very long time.On a different occasion I had dropped my wallet out of my car and lost everything. I had three different accounts at the time and the first two were absolutely no issue to cancel my card and get a new one. M&T would not do this for me because I didn't have my driver's license due to it being in my wallet that I lost. In it's place I brought my birth certificate, social security card, and a college photo id. The manger told me that she still couldn't do anything for me until my new ID came in the mail. They actually were just going to let anyone who picked up my lost wallet drain my account. I was shocked by this answer and closed my account on the spot. Somehow closing the account was okay without a driver's license but canceling a card that was lost and getting a new card was not.....ok. Their new commercial that says they "treat you like family" is just hilarious.

I have no words to define how happy we are. In this era of complicated, unnecessary information, self-assuming attitude from bankers, we had a delightful encounter with Hailley. As efficient as cordial. We are impressed. Congratulations ? M&T and Hailley! Thank you for treating your customers right.

Had an appointment today with Chad about rolling over an IRA. We also had to set up a savings account and refinace a business loan. From start to finish the experience was a very easy and not stressful. Chad answered all our questions and was extremely knowledgeable. We also dealt with Mary, senior branch manager, for the business loan. Again she was extremely friendly, knowledgeable and made our experience easy. Amanda , senior service associate, was the one that helped set everything up. Hands down one of the best employees we have ever dealt with. She had also previously set up three savings accounts for our kids. We will never bank anywhere else and the North Syracuse branch is the place we always go.

This bank charges 2% to cash there own checks. I think this is totally uncalled for. So if you write your grandson little johnny a check for xmas there going to take 2% of that little boys money. Unless you open ancount then when you write someone a check to someone they get charged the 2% thats crazy. Same with pay checks go in with a $1500 check pay them $30 to cash it for you. Or do what i do and go to tops they only charge a dollar. but thats only on payroll checks. That still leaves personal checks and that 2%. Can you say RipOff!!!!!
