I am a local delivery driver and frequent speedway for its cheaper gas. My most recent visit to this location was a little concerning. I always check my card throughout the day after I get gas to make sure my card hasn't gotten skimmed. Today, after I filled up my tank, I noticed I was charged 125 dollars, when I got 32.50 in gas. After talking with the employee, I was told there is an 85 dollar hold on certain cards (they even said including the speedway card itself). However, I have never dealt with this problem at the one by Nates Place in north norwich. The hold cleared after a few minutes, but definitely left a sour taste in my mouth about the place. If you're a speedy rewards member I would definitely reccomend making the extra leg out to the one in north norwich instead. The only reason I am giving 2 stars instead of 1 is because the gentleman who was working behind the counter was very nice and understanding about the situation, and even called his manager to get their customer support number so I could figure out what was going on. Thankfully I didn't have to call, but still strange and mildly annoying.

Speedway has competitive prices, they are a convenience store, and by showing your Speedway card, (which is free and takes maybe 5 minutes to set up) you earn points that sometimes appear as a discount on fuel price or food items.

Prices were a little confusing. New screens and pump interface I haven't seen before. It does have a card scanner underneath the keyboard. Other than that sales staff was friendly store and parking lot was clean.

Such a great place to grab a snack and fountain drink. I stop here nearly every day, the staff is super friendly and try to get to know their customers in order to spark up conversations. Just an overall friendly environment.

Store is rarely open at 6:00 anymore. Frustrating when you need to get fuel to be in Sidney by 7:00am and you suddenly need to go to the north side, not knowing if anyone will show up. Just downgraded to one star 7/20/21
