What a great place I ordered a bike from the Brooklyn bicycle company and had it delivered and professionally assembled here. I'll be bringing my bianchi there for a bit of rehab

Went to Crankworks to repair a broken spoke and a new tire. Picked up my bike and went for a ride.Tire went flat. Checked tire and found no punctures or signs of a hit. I did find that the preseta fill valve had no cap and it wasn’t locked in place and the stem was loose. The tire appears to have slowly leaked until valve was loose and ruptured the tube.Returned to the shop and pointed out what I found. He checked the tire and could not inflate same. Upon removing the tube he worked on the valve and was not able to inflate. During this process I was told to move by another employee and could not observe the process. Than the owner came over and showed me a tear in a tube.I asked how come there is no damage to the tire?????I also asked if the spoke was properly installed and torqued?Owner stated there was a tear in the tube and the valve was fine! He checked tire and rim spokes and found no issues.Never using this location again

By far the worst experience I have ever had in a bike shop!! Paid $190 to have Ultergra parts on a TIDACE frame. I did unfortunately by a crank size that didn't work with my frame. OK fine. But why install the cranks until I pick the bike up?? And tell me it isn't shifting because I bought the wrong cranks?? Totally unprofessional. In addition- the carbon frame had NO carbon grease- I the handlebars were loose to start with! The headset was ratteling loose(never tightened!)-cables loose-Obviously assembled by someone who had no idea what they are doing! I suggest staying far away from a place that cares not for their customers-just moneya shrug from the owner like who cares please go away problem customer. I would never go back!Buy a bike that takes pride in customers safety FIRST!I SURE HOPE NO ONE GETS SERIOUSLY HURT!MINUS 5 STARS- F FOR FAIL

A special shout out to Luis from CrankWorks Cycles (@crankworks_cycles) for stopping to change a flat tire for us on the MCB (TZB) this morning. Extra points to him for being a Good Samaritan when it sounded like he was 75 miles into a 100mi jaunt that started at dawn. We owe you Luis— thank you for taking your job on the road even on a holiday!

Love this shop. Always helpful, great prices and fast friendly service Dropped my bike off mid day Sunday for a basic spring (ok I know it is not spring) maintenance which was long long overdue. Said I can pick it up Tuesday and when I stopped by they were just finishing it up. had to wait maybe 5 minutes and what I got back was a bike that looks and preforms like a brand new bike. Entire bike cleaned spotless (even chain looks brand new), new handlebar tape, brakes checked, cables checked among other things.

I first found out about this shop because I went to another bike shop in that area called 9W. I don't know whether it was because I was bringing a bike to them that I didn't purchase there or whether the general attitude at 9W was simply horrible, but I can't remember feeling more frustrated and disrespected. I remember the way I felt leaving 9W. I googled another bike shop near there and stumbled upon CrankWorks. Immediately, and even though the worker was busy, I felt welcomed and he assisted me.. He made all of the anger, frustration, feelings of disrespect dissipate! These guys are truly businessmen! I've brought bikes to them thinking that I had a more expensive problem, and although they could've easily taken advantage of me, they did not. And although I am a novice, they never make me feel as though I don't belong. Coming to them is like coming to a family member for assistance (the family member you like). They have my undying loyalty. And although there are bike shops much closer to me, I will continue to take that ride over the Tappan Zee, pay that toll to continue to patronize CrankWorks!
