This shop is a hidden gem nestled in historic downtown Nyack NY. My family and myself were on our way to visit sleepy hollow and stopped in the Nyack area for breakfast and the breakfast and burger club. I love quaint little towns that are like a time capsule filled with unique shops that you don't see everyday. We stumbled across Hickory Dickory Dock and discovered a hidden treasure, a little charm shop with unique gifts and handmade german pieces from German steins, to nutcracker, German incense smokers and beautifully crafted Cuckoo clocks. The shop is something like out of a christmas story book and should be appreciated and preserved at all cost because once this shop is gone, there will never be another one like it. I really loved the German incense smoker a lot and had to buy one which would be my first and the start of a new collection of handmade German craft. I have since then used it and it brings me peace of mind and overall had a great experience and learned a lot from the owner. Don't be afraid to ask questions and know the history behind these beautiful pieces. From what I see, these pieces all tell a story in their own way when combined with using your imagination to picture the setting. My German incense smoker was a depiction of a man holding a fishing rod with a fish caught on the hook, the basket he held also had caught fish. He had on fishing boots, rain coat and fisherman's hat, a water bucket on his shoulder and a pipe in his mouth. When you place the incense inside, the imagination engages and I picture an old man looking out to sea on a rainy and Dreary day catching fish and enjoying a good old smoke. This is a must visit charm that will make it so easy to think about your next gift for your friend, family, or loved ones.

I was just in there with my husband and stroller with 2 kids. The owner came up to us and VERY RUDELY and AGGRESSIVELY put her hands up and said NO STROLLERS INSIDE. ITS A FIRE HAZARD. Tone is key in every interaction with people and I think it was extremely uncalled for. Put a sign outside then instead of having people come in and be extremely rude. I'm not easily offended but I think any other person in my position would agree. She apologized to my nephew after but not us. RUDE!!

What a great shop! Take a walk in and you will be surprised how big it is. Do you want cuckoo clocks? Got it Do you want unique wall clocks? Got it Do you want Christmas and holiday decor? Wind chimes? Got it You want candles? Got it. My wife and I visited on a Sunday afternoon and spent a lot of time here. We also bought 2 clocks and an ornament and could have bought more. However, $200 was enough. The staff was very friendly and even held our purchases as we walked around town. We were impressed with how reasonably priced the merchandise was. If you browse around it is going to cost you because you will find something either for you or for someone else. This is a must visit when you are in Nyack!

Very nice shop. Have never had a problem finding parking in front or down the street. Nyack is nice and quaint. Inside the store there are mainly Christmas ornaments but also a lot for other holidays and events. Store is well maintained and owners always know every single product. Including the type of German artisan and style of each product. For German made products you have to remember the cost to make something so unique and one of a kind, shipping internationally, and the superior attention to detail that is put into each German handcrafted piece. When these items last forever with proper storage and care they are worth the investment alone. There are smokers, nutcrackers, kids toys, ornaments, tree toppers, probably everything you can imagine. I think the best part of the shop is the hospitality of the owners and employees who are always so helpful. Don’t be in a rush as this place has a lot to see and it’s supposed to be fun looking for something new for the Christmas tree every year.

Used to be my favorite stop in Nyack to bring my friends, visiting relatives and any tourists new to the area until this weekend when a shop employee weirdly felt the need to follow us around the store the entire time we were in there browsing and shopping for Christmas presents. Not sure what it was about our appearance or demeanor that made us seem so untrustworthy, but if it was our totebags you could’ve easily asked us to leave them behind the counter with you or figured out some less unpleasant way to make yourselves more comfortable, without making us uncomfortable. I don’t think I’ll be coming back again; my friend and I were really upset when we realized what was happening.

This wonderful time capsule is fascinating! I love it, but already have way too much stuff. If you have old clocks with souls that need some work, bring your clocks here! They aren’t cheap, but well worth the price. Clockmakers are a dying breed.
