“I can understand PC's untainted reputation of 5 stars by the local neighborhood.Glen, one of the managers, and David, are some of the most helpful people around. I bought paint from this store twice and our bathroom upgrade turned out fabulous.Why go to Home Depot when you have Paint Can right here, with everything you need? You will not get the same attentiveness and care there that you will here. Also, the prices are no cheaper at any other hardware retailer. I would rather give it to the good people of this store who work hard to retain their small business. 10/10!!!”

“Our exterior house painter uses Sherwin-Williams paint and suggested we stop in to choose colors. Bianca was immensely helpful. Her depth of knowledge in pairing colors gave us the confidence we needed when making a color choice and the end result was great. She has also worked with the office staff of our painter previously and was able to coordinate with them, saving us extra calls and making sure everything was right.”
“Never in my life would I think I’d leave a hardware review but here I am! My husband needed a brass cleaner on a Saturday afternoon around the time most hardware stores are closed. We found this one was still opened and called to make sure it actually was since we had just tried going over to another one that was supposed to be open according to Google and it wasn’t. To avoid another pointless trip I called this one before we headed there and a lovely gentleman by the name of Jose answered and literally gave us the best customer service experience that is hard to come by these days! He said they had the cleaner in stock and asked if we’d like for him to have it ready for us at the counter which we happily agreed to. He called us back a minute later to let us know that it was actually out of stock and that to please excuse him. Like, what?! So nice of him to do! Thank you Jose!”

“Since moving to Colonial Heights, this has been my go to hardware store. The staff is friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. This is very hard to find in today's world. They offer real solutions and options to problems and support their customers by walking them through the process of repair. Their prices are also great value. “Try this at Home Depot: I went over to Rockland county, New York, to help an 86 year old lady friend install a new mailbox. It sounds easier than it is, as hers was attached to 2 metal pipes, sitting in between other mailboxes. Rusty bolts and all that. Just getting the ancient one off was a task. After planning and measuring, we went to a neighborhood hardware store and bought a mailbox, but it turned out that they did not sell the wood we needed for the base. So we went to Beckerle in Congers. The man behind the counter treated my friend so kindly. He went to the back and found an old scrap piece of wood that fit under the mailbox. Plus, he helped me source the big screws and washers. He spent good long time with us to assure that we had what we needed, patiently and extraordinarily helpful. All that for $1.98. It was good old-fashioned service with a smile. I was impressed that there are still stores like this where customer service is top level, even if the actual profit is virtually zero. This place is the best of the best. Shop there!”
“Montvale hardware is an icon in Montvale NJ … The owner is extremely accommodating even through Covid ! I highly recommended them for a big project or just a quick tube of caulk ! The BM paint section is wonderful. This place has that old school wooden creaking floor hardware feel and we in Montvale cherish it so !!!!! You must visit”

“I just left the Valley Paint and Decorating Center and I honestly cannot say enough great things about the Customer service. At this time, I am redoing a bathroom in my home and needed help to pick a paint color. Both of the employees, Edgar and Karan Could not have been more accommodating. My wife and I honestly have no eye for color so we brought in a sample of the floor and shower tile and said please help us and pick the color. Edgar and Karan used their experience and eye for color and they picked the perfect color. I cannot say enough good things about my experience, and my wife was thrilled when we walked out of there and this decision had been made. These two gentlemen deserve a round of applause, not only for their expertise, but also for making us feel so welcome and at ease. I highly recommend this store and will continue to use them as I have in the past because of all my great experiences with them.”

“Herb Lack Paints is a Nyack family owned business. Joseph along with his wife and son are a fixture in the Village Nyack business district.. Don't be fooled by the Paints they have have a lot more than paints. They have a great supply of Benjamin Moore paint, and do custom blending as well. They also repair screens there, and any copy of a key they have made for us always works. Their inventory includes everything from Gorilla glue to snow shovels. The family is incredibly helpful. Highly recommend a visit.”
