Michael's associate was so helpful when an order I placed online for store pickup wasn't ready. Super helpful and cheerful. FYI, Michael's is doing away with in-store price checkers but will be updated mobile app to scan for prices.

Nick in the picture frame dept. Has been wonderful to work with. I brought him in a project I did not know in what direction to go or how to get it there. He has been working on it keeping me informed when needing update on this special paper I needed framing. Should be done this week. It actually is from a magazine that needed to be copied to be downloaded to print. Then figure the size we want. 2 tries. Frame, matte & is including a pocket for the original item on back of frame. My mothers handwriting on a poem meant for my nephew. She passed when he was 16. Now 23. I never saw before until 2 days before his college graduation last month. Crumbled up in a drawer. None of us ever saw this before. Knew it was for him. I fixed all the wrinkles.. Wrote out grandson when poem meant for granddaughter.. Nick has helped bring it to life. None of us ever saw this found in a drawer 2 days before he was to graduate. Original is going behind frame so he can see her writing. Nick's idea. So he'll have a framed memento from my mom a photo copy & the original sealed on the back.

This store's staff is extremely rude and racist. When I entered, two employees were chatting at the entrance and no one was working. Before I could finish my first sentence, one employee rudely interrupted me, saying, "I don't understand what you're saying, stop." I carefully repeated my question, asking if I could pick up an item I ordered online two and a half hours ago since I drove 30 minutes during my lunch break to get it. The staff member bluntly refused, stating that orders must be processed one by one there are 5 in front of me and I have to wait for 1 hour (even though she wasn't working at the time).
I then offered to find the item myself and just needed her to process my order, as other stores allow this practice and I only had one item. She rudely insisted that other stores might operate differently, but this was not possible at the Oceanside location, and then she left.
I am extremely disappointed and angry with the treatment I received. This is unacceptable and I urge the management to address this unprofessional behavior immediately.

You can never find anyone to help unless you walk all the way to the register after originally coming in and walking way to the opposite end of the store. By then, I tend to give up out of frustration because they take forever to find someone to get to where you need the help, and the answer tends to be "no, we're out of stock" after all of that. I love Michael's, don't get me wrong, but this particular store seems like they can't be bothered with being bothered.

Only 1 cashier. Need more real people to interface with the public. Talk about purchase, ask questions, etc.
