This gym is the best deal around. The equipment is second to none. X-force strength training, a pool, Jacuzzi, sauna, classes of all types ....you name it they have it. The people are always helpful and friendly and the space is so clean and well kept. And the price is so reasonable. What's to complain about? I can't imagine a thing. Margaret D.

They're finally expanding the hours of operation, closer to what they were before COVID came to town, but the class offerings are still not as abundant as they had been prior. I bet the membership is not what it used to be either. Some people are still afraid to resume their former activities in a social setting. But, this gym is still one of my favorites in the area as a far as layout, the pool and racquet ball. The staff is great, too!

This place is very, very quality for the price. I see some reviews with low ratings about their hours and their making people observe COVID protocols and you know what, that is great. I don't want to work out with those people anyhow. This place has a pool in both locations, cardio cinema room with movies, and the staff have always been 100% super nice in both locations. I go 3-5x weekly and use mostly the cardio bikes and treadmills, resistance equipment, and the pool. I trained up for my first ever sprint triathlon here and it was amazing to have this resource at such an affordable price. Kudos to the staff and to the owner.

I really enjoy this gym but the hours of operation are ridiculous. Closing at 3pm on Saturday and Sunday is very crazy!!! Plus on the days Monday- Friday, the closing time changes! It's hard to keep track of when it's open or closed. I know that the crowd is older but what about us young people that look for a later workout? Especially on the weekends!!!! They hours should be extended on the weekends

I've been a member since the place opened. Yes, they start telling you that the gym is closing in an hour, and remind you every 15 minutes. Yes, there have been some cut backs here and there. Yes, they require a mask if you have not gotten immunized and a booster, etc, but it is the best gym, with the best equipment, and the best staff in Dutchess County.

The facility is fine but a few of the staff can be very rude. They did not know how to speak politely and respectfully when dealing with customers. I read the review from Michael L. and was not surprised.

I have been a member of this gym for six years now. Always a positive experience in the past until Covid-19. Since covid-19 has come up they have changed their closing time from 10:00pm-7:00pm. Understandable. I have never left the gym five minutes past 7:00. Employees would yell in the locker room say we're closing! It's 7:00! Never was spoken to politely about using the locker room and getting out of the locker room a few minutes earlier. Then, Wednesday evening hits there are two people in the locker room at 7:04pm. Myself and one other member. Employee yells in anyone in here we are shutting down the lights!! I said yes, two of us. I walk out of the locker room at 7:05 and the employee tells me: "You should learn to use the locker room before 7:00 if you need to use it" in not a polite tone. My Response: "Understood" As I Am walking out of the gym, Employee comes running down stairs, and yells are you still waiting on anyone!?! Other Employee: Yes Two! Employee under breath: Jesus Fing Christ Time: 706 Me: Continue walking out. Parking Lot: 7:10 All three employees who were yelling about getting out of the gym walk outside where I was parked. My Words: "You should learn customer service. Two Employees head to car: One Employee: "Oh-honey I've been in the business 35 years, I've seen it all." My response: "Not that it matters to you guys much, but I am switching gym tomorrow. Then: They call me and say that I harassed their employees and they are kicking me out. Doesn't phase me because I was leaving anyways, just an overall unpleasant experience here due to the lack of good customer service and respect from the employees of the night shift. I am not the type to leave bad reviews, I don't have one bad review on my page if there is a problem then I talk about it. Just didn't want anyone else to have to go through the same thing I went through for weeks on end, of disrespectful employees that put no care or value into your business. There are other reviews saying the staff at the desk is rude. It's sad because it was a very pleasant gym for my friends and I for years but it is going down hill fast. Hearing from people not only my age (21 years old) but seniors as well. (50 Years Old+) Friends of mine: 10 years+ of membership with Mike Arteagas, all experiencing the same horrible customer service and lack of care for members. Thank you for reading the review I hope you take this into consideration before using Mike Arteagas for a gym to work out, and stay in shape. I would not recommend anyone to this gym as there is a lack of care and professionalism from employees to active members.

I have to say this place has all the things people want/need, from cardio, to weights, a pool, and even a dedicated squat/deadlift room. That is not the issue. Whomever is in charge there is a complete moron. I understand that gyms need to be very diligent in this COVID age and have to be careful so as not to get shut down by the State. I get it. But these clowns have gone off the rails. So everyone needs to wear a mask, and of course that's a given, and if you don't have a proper mask (can't be a gator) they will give you one for free. But when you are running late and forget your mask, getting a lecture by a fat 25 year old kid behind the desk for not having one on as you open up the front door, is annoying. Still, management hires these losers and that's their problem. Here's the kicker. When you go to the pool room, of course you have to wear your mask as you enter the pool room and check in with the lifeguard. There are only 3 lanes and now swimming is by appointment only so the max number of swimmers in the large pool is 3. There is also two hot tubs and you have to wear masks in the tub. I don't know if it is solo appointments for the hot tubs because I don't use them but I have not seen more than one person at a time in them. Along the wall they placed three chairs where the three people swimming can leave their towels and shoes. And then there is a shower head where they require to rinse off before entering the pool. I was told today that the gym now required people TO WEAR THEIR MASKS AS THEY RINSE OFF using the shower head. That is completely asinine. Aren't we rinsing off to wash off the dirt and germs on us before we get into the pool? And aren't most of the germs on or near our nose and mouths? And so isn't it logical that we wash our heads in our rinsing? What's next? Will we need to swim with our masks on? Of course, when I brought this up to the Desk, I get the standard answer that they use for every issue- "Sorry, Governor's orders." SORRY, GOV. CUOMO HAS NOT MANDATED SHOWERING WITH A MASK ON. Show me the official mandate that rinsing off at a pool requires a mask and I'll apologize for this review and remove it. Until then, I'll take my hard earned money and go elsewhere.

Clean & sterile equipment. Mike's place was always ahead of the curve in spotless machines, floors & all equipment. His staff goes above & beyond especially during this so called coronavirus crisis.
