I miss the old staff. The new pharmacist is cold & matter of fact. They do not go above and beyond making the customer feel valued. This pharmacy no longer has that happy small town feel. Disappointing considering I would only come to this pharmacy unless there was a late night emergency... for over 15 years. Time to move on.

It's a nice little pharmacy.The staff are very nice and helpful.They have some cute little items to buy as well as the standard stuff you'd find in a drug store.It's also super clean.

An update of my review in 2014. After almost 40 years employed by Ocean Chemists through 3 owners, manager Linda Ohlsen has been told by management she is no longer needed. The entire staff has given notice and yesterday (April 28) was their last day. I for one will be leaving in the next week. Having been a customer there since the late 70's it is not an easy decision. However current management places no value on long term relationships. If I have to start with all new personal I will do it elsewhere. I urge all long-time customers to show your support for the staff who have left and shop elsewhere.

Terrible customer service!! I am currently on ******* and will be switched to ******* in 3 weeks. My physician sent in a prescription early, as to make sure the pharmacy can order it. I called and spoke with the pharmacist Cindy who said 'we will not order it, we dont order things like that.' I asked her if she knows where I can get ******* from then, if this pharmacy wont order it for me. She said 'thats not my problem, find another pharmacy' I asked to speak to her manager. She said ' I am the manager' I asked if she owns the pharmacy and she said 'yes I do, this is my pharmacy, and I suggest you find another one to go to, because we will not order *******' She was very rude and even chuckling when she spoke to me saying 'why would you think we would order *******, that is only done at a hospital' and her tone of voice was mocking me and placating me. I find it hard to believe that she owns the pharmacy, and that she would speak to a pregnant woman that way. For the record, ******* is a blood thinner, and she was talking and treating me as if I was asking for a narcotic. Cindy should be investigated for her treatment to customers. Especially pregnant women who need to be switched to ******* for safety purposes during labor... Read More

did not want to do this but Ocean Chemist you gave us no choice a loyal customer for over 28 years defending you against other neighborhood pharmacies and always recommending you. today 09-08-20 your driver made a delivery to my home on his way out of our driveway he ran over our garbage bags and pulled them into the middle of waukena ave. My wife called the store and asked the clerk to have him come back to put back on the curb she was told ok after a half hour she called back reminded the clerk who HUNG UP ON HER!!!!! we called back spoke to the pharmacist or mgr and was told he went home there was nothing she could do i asked why they hung up on us there was no reason i asked her to have him come back as i am disabled and un able to go into the street to pick it up she said he went home and its too bad then hung up on us i called back several times now they won't answer the phone and the machine says open 9 to 7 it's was 5PM why would a store owner be so nasty to a long time no less any customer????????? when people ask why stores are closing in oceanside well here's the number one reason POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE SORRY NO CUSTOMER SERVICE BETTER OFF AT ANY OTHER PHARMACY THEIR SERVICE HAS TOTALLY GONE DOWN THE TUBES AND TO THINK I LEAVE THE DRIVER A TIP ON ALL DELIVERIES FOOL ME ONCE YOUR OUT OF HERE
