Sophie’s my friend and has cut my hair. I really love the woman and find her inspiring for her humble nature and ability to run such a nice place. She cuts hair very well and is very good at her job. I wish I were still in New York to get cuts from her.

This is the WORST hair salon I ever experienced in my life!!!!!!! The owner Sophia is the only stylist there with one helper and she has no skills what so ever. I called about Japanese hair perm for my daughter and she told me they are good so just bring her in. the price is $150. I took her to the salon and she looked at my daughter's hair and confidently said the result will be good due to her hair texture. I came home because she said it will take about 3hours and I left her there with my 2nd daughter. little over 2hours passed, my daughter text me saying she just had her final wash. I walked in and saw her hair......OMG!!!!!!! it was all frizzy, burned and can't even run my fingers through her hair due to such a damage that was done. it was a totally DAMAGED! I got so upset and asked her " is she done?" then Sophia said "yes. it came out perfect" EXCUSE ME?????? I can't believe she said that. Her hair is bit curly and frizzy naturally but this was even worse then her hair naturally. she wouldn't admit she didn't do the job right or apologize for the result. she has no skills to get the job done but she kept on saying the perm came out fine. As a owner of the business, she would've handle this matter with a manner but she got upset and kept on going on and on about how she worked hard and came out great. Not only that but kept on asking my daughter forcing her to say her has looks better then before. looking at the result and service, I told her I can't pay in full bc nothing was done and I am totally dissatisfied. I wanted to actually do a damage claim. I told her I want to be reasonable and just pay for the solution and she said it's $100. I called my friend who is a hair stylist in NJ and she told me it's not less then $100 and if it was her, she would've apologize and won't charge anything. besides she charges less then $150 for straightening perm. so I was arguing with her and she called the police. Police told me I have to pay for the service. what service??? nothing was done on her hair as a result, it actually looks worse then before. she told the police if I don't pay the price, she wants me arrested. so I said I am paying just because its the law but I am taking her to small claims court for this matter. I don't know how she got her license but she DOES NOT know anything about hair styling!!! Oh one more thing that shocked me...there was a Asian helper and she was the only worker there and my daughter told me when there was another customer came for her appointment, she only finished half of her hair straightening with flat iron and let the helper do the rest. I don't think she is licensed hair stylist. All she did was wash and blow dry the hair and cleaning. can you believe that???? she is a helper not a professional. it is illegal if she performed the procedure without a license. I called and ask Sophia and she said "yes" and when I asked her again to confirm she said "yes" again. I am going to report her to the board of cosmetology to have the salon inspected. This was the worst $150 I ever spent in my life!!! this place should go out of biz. she should stop ripping off people with her unprofessional skills and be more honest!!!!! I don't want to see another victim other then my daughter.

Don't go here for Japanese straightening, I have to say Sophia is very nice but my hair is frizzier then before and my ends which were processed before so a little damaged, are now fried, I mean i asked her to cut an inch off bc I could tell right away my ends looked bad but even with the cut I still have like 3 inches of damage, mind you my hair is barely shoulder length. Also, I did my research before hand so I knew basically the steps needed for this treatment, the first thing I notice is she didn't dry my hair and put the treatment on my wet hair and after the neutralizer she blowed dried but did not flat ironed it and I asked her to but she said I didn't need it. I was still hoping for the best but 3 days later I washed my hair, it's not completely straight and the ends are so bad even though I deep conditioned.

Never again. Went there for a spray tan that was blotchy. They had a 5 year old running around the place and he even came into my spray tan room while I was half dressed!
