Howard’s towed my truck after I was in an accident. 900 feet from his shop. He originally asked for $250 but charged us $275. Then proceeded to try to convince us that we would have to pay him to tow it to our house over to 30 minutes away because it wasn’t drivable and that we just wouldn’t want to start it up because it’s leaking coolant when there was no visible leak underneath the vehicle during the accident or after. After arguing with us and then charging us $25 more than originally stated, we drove the truck home 50 minutes away and it’s been in perfect driving condition since. This man is only worried about deepening his pockets, not helping. And clearly not very mechanically intelligent.

I was in Old Forge for the weekend and needed emergency service, Heavy Towing said they could fix it on Saturday. I went down Saturday morning and they said they were busy and would call me when ready. I called in the afternoon when I didn’t hear from them. They said they could do it Monday knowing I had to leave Sunday! Now I have to drive 100 miles home not knowing if I can make it home. If they didn’t want the work they should have said so I had time to look for service somewhere else! Friendly but not trustworthy!!!

Very rarely do you meet genuine good people anymore. The dude came out to tow my van. Someone took my bag that had my keys. The guy was there in 10 minutes after calling. Here is the kicker.. we’re about to go hook up to the van when a cop and employees stop us to notify us the bag was found… so relief to me, but I still wanted to give Howard $100 for his time. The dude wouldn’t accept it. His response “welcome to old forge, we take care of each other here. Like a family”.
I believe in karma and I think this dude deserves all the success. Just a rare personality that we need more of in this world. If you see this review, thanks again man.

This guy saved the day. Dead battery with my family while on vacation. Bought new battery from Napa and Howard swapped it out for me in no time. Saved the day and my vacation. !

They are very professional and friendly. Able to diagnose my car’s issue when i was in a pinch. Fortunately i was able to drive home but gladly would have had Howard’s team service my car if i had more time in town.

Beached my car in the snow at the end of a driveway on a Saturday and they came out and saved my skin. Communicative and arrived before scheduled.

We had an F350 and 24ft trailer stuck- BAD. We were in a position where we had no other option but to be towed out and Howard’s guys came out quickly and did everything they could to make sure we got out. Absolutely reasonable price especially given our helpless circumstance. THANK YOU.

Exellent Tow Company. We had the experience of using Howards last week for a van that was stuck. They were there quickly and got him out safely . Very Courteous Efficient and Experienced Company . Thank You We will use again if needed

We locked our keys in our car at Water Safari at 6:00pm on a Saturday and they were there to help within 15 minutes. Very friendly and reasonably priced. We would highly recommend!
