Honestly a very disappointing experience from the staff here. We came here to have a small ceremony and birthday for myself and my husband. The staff harassed us and kicked us out and threatened to tow our cars if we didn’t leave. I’m very disappointed. These people have no consideration for others and were extremely rude. We weren’t having a whole wedding at the location so a permit was not necessary in my opinion. I think forcing us to leave after we paid for tickets is extremely disappointing and hopefully people realize this place does not care about anything except collecting money.

It's a beautiful place. A mansion with English antiques, in a pastoral setting. The Gardens are gorgeous, especially in June. They also have many activities, such as concerts, the Celtic Festival, and Dog Days, when you can bring your dog on a leash to most of the property.
For those who would like to explore more, there are mansion tours, garden tours, and the tour of the servants' area.
When it's holiday time, they decorate the house and usually have some seasonal musical events too.
So, there's something for everyone.

It's pretty interesting and if you like things from the past this is it , it's huge and green and very vintage ! And they also have a little cafe as well which I think is sooo nice ! Especially when it's nice out

I’ve visited Old Westbury Gardens twice, and both times it was an incredibly peaceful experience. The gardens are beautifully maintained, with stunning flowers, lush greenery, and charming pathways that make for a relaxing walk. The whole environment is calm and serene, providing the perfect escape from the noise of everyday life. Whether you’re interested in history, nature, or just looking for a peaceful day out, Old Westbury Gardens is a wonderful place to unwind and enjoy some quiet time surrounded by natural beauty. Highly recommend!

I heard the Celtic festival was much better in prior years. This was my first time and I had a great time. I learned thatbthe fees for the groups sponsoring the event skyrocketed, which is why it was downscaled with fewer vendors and events. Nonetheless, it was a beautiful day and we had fun. It's a beautiful property.

Old Westbury Gardens is amazingly beautiful and serene. The self-led house tour let me wander at my own pace, and linger where my interests led. However, on a nice day, the outdoors win!! Strolling the grounds, perhaps stopping for a picnic lunch, or a bite at the Cafe in the Woods, can not be beat! It's impossible to leave here and not feel better than when you arrived!

If I could have given a 0 star rating I would for the experience I had here. Came here with my sister to tour the garden and take a pic pics and because she was dressed too “stand out” as proclaimed by a staff violet Bush and we were asked to leave as we needed a permit to take portrait pictures when every one else was taking pics. Anyways rules or not, ina situation like this there should have been some type of exception since we weren’t able to receive what we paid for. Anyways the staff who we dealt with was very bias somehow and I feel this was waste and there’s nothing they can do to help. No refund, no exceptions and certainly they had no courtesy. The lady at the exit gate by the name of Karen was very kind and sympathetic however (5 stars For her) as for violet, pls heed more to your customer service skills.
