My husband and I spent our 1st wedding anniversary at the Old Library Inn. We stayed in the lovely Tolkien Room. As avid readers, we loved the author themed rooms and literary quotes decorating the walls. The historic building is beautifully decorated and maintained. The first floor that houses the dining room and sitting room is charming. The rooms are private and comfortable. The dining staff is able to accommodate special diets (like gluten free) and the hosts are friendly and welcoming. We also ate at the Old Library Restaurant next door, which is a library that has been converted into an Art Deco style restaurant and bar. Great atmosphere. Highly recommend!

Great house with a writers vibe. Historic step back into opulence. Owner very responsive. Seven rooms to pick from. All lovely. Furnishings are wonderful. Lovely stone porch to relax with a cup of tea. Close to great restaurants. The best is next door. The old library restaurant has an amazing interior. This is a great destination trip. Plenty to do in the area. The breakfast is an order off a menu. WONDERFUL!
