Had a very positive experience at Olean Home Depot today. Went to purchase a trimmer/edger. So many choices!! I went to the desk and requested they send a salesperson over. An employee named Sheldon was sent to assist me. This young man was very personable; answered all my questions; explained the features of the models I had narrowed down. He pointed out the savings with purchase of a combination package-trimmer and leaf blower. I decided to purchase that one (Ryobi mfg#095377001). I picked up a collapsible yard waste bag too. Thank you to that young employee named Sheldon who so patiently answered all my questions. Keep up the good work!!

I purchased a washer and dryer from the Home Depot store in Olean, NY on 5/16/21. I paid $1425.65. They were scheduled to be delivered by Home Depot's third party delivery company by the name of "Spirit" on 7/22/21. Home Depot called the day before to say they'd deliver between 10am and 2pm on 7/22/21. I called Home Depot several times on 7/22 to get an ETA and every time I was told things like "It is out for delivery" and "The driver has two more stops then he'll be there". By 3:15pm when there was no sign of the delivery and no call from Home Depot, I called them and was told that the driver had skipped my delivery and they didn't know why and he wasn't answering his phone. Home Depot rescheduled the delivery for 7/26/21, the soonest they said they could deliver. They never called to confirm the delivery the day before or the day of. I called them several times on 7/26 and each time they promised they were out for delivery. The driver never showed up and once again, no one from Spirit or Home Depot contacted me. I called Home Depot and was told that the soonest they could deliver would be 8/12/21. The driver put in his notes that the customer (me) was the one that kept rescheduling and that's why I never received my delivery. By then I had had enough. I told them to cancel the order and issue me a refund. I went to the Home Depot store in Olean, NY to talk to a manager and get my refund. They would only refund me $82.52, the cost of the hoses, power cord, and dryer duct. I was told that they couldn't override the system. On 7/27/21, I called Home Depot and was told that they can't issue a refund until the delivery company returns the items to Home Depot. Home Depot told me that customers can claim that they never received the delivery when, in fact they had, and get a refund. Home Depot is accusing me of being the dishonest one in this whole debacle. They said it takes 7-10 days. I've made numerous calls to Home Depot trying to get my refund and each time I've been given a different excuse and timeline. On Monday, 8/9/21, we called the local Home Depot and was told there was an IT issue (this is a standard excuse used by many companies) and they hadn't been able to issue my refund. I would never have known that they were making no move to refund me if I hadn't called and forced them to figure out why I hadn't been refunded yet. They told me they were putting in a ticket for IT to fix it then they could refund me. It is now 8/11/21 and there's been no call from Home Depot and no refund issued. I called Home Depot AGAIN and of course the two people I spoke with on 8/9 are out to lunch and not in yet. It's been one excuse after another and I trust nothing that Home Depot says. Issue me my refund for $1343.13 for the items I never received due to Home Depot's incompetence and then you figure out on your end how to fix your records. I should not be held hostage because your system doesn't work. I should be compensated for all of the phone calls I've made to Home Depot and the hours I've sat on hold. I should be compensated for the numerous 32 mile round trips I've made to Home Depot in Olean, NY trying to resolve this situation. I struggled to put 5 bags of mulch in my cart. An employee putting a grill together saw me an never even offered to help. It was a customer in the parking lot who helped me put it in my car. most the time you have to hunt down an employees for help. This is in Olean ny.

I went in last Saturday around 11:30 to buy supplies for a small project. For some reason they decided that the busiest time of the day was the best time to stock the aisles and I could not even get a cart through the lumber aisles. I was in the store for about an hour trying to find the other supplies and it was the same problem all around, plus I never once got approached by an employee. I’m not even going to bother stopping at this store in the future.

I wanted to build a hinged ramp for my dog to get up and down my bed but wasn't sure what kind of wood and hinges would be best. Andrew was awesome, not only did he direct me to the items I needed but he also helped cut the wood and put the hinges on for me too. So very grateful for his assistance. Now if I can just train my dog to use it...lol

My husband sent me with a 10 item electrical list even including 10 foot conduit pipe/s. I had to wait a few minutes for someone to help me but when Dan came he never batted an eye at my list and one by one he completely helped me get all the items. Took me to the register and even helped me secure the load in the truck. Wish I could send this review right to Home Depot - thanks Dan for the great customer service and your patience and expert help. A superior employee -hope Home Depot is aware of this great employee,

Let me start by saying that when in the store, all the employees are very nice but like so many people working jobs like this they are not truly engaged in their work.
