I had a great experience with Empire when buying my Grand Highlander. I was coming from out of state yet it was the easiest new car purchase I ever made. Caleb was fantastic and very responsive during the whole process. I wouldn’t think twice about using Empire for future purchases.

The best car purchase experience ever. I bought 5 new cars so far in my whole life. This is the only dealer doesn’t play dirty tricks on the customer. No hassles, no pushy sales, no back and forth arguments on the previously settled price. Signed the paperwork and drove off the lot in 45 minutes. Even the dealership forgot to record odometer read on the title, they fixed it in the next day after I sent it back. I’m from PA and it’s totally understandable there are differences between states law. Austin is professional and knowledgeable. He is an honest and easy going person. It’s worth my 10 hours trip to get the car.

I just want to say how great of a help George was in getting my wife her brand new Grand Highlander. George has been great in the past helping myself and my family with new cars and my wife is extremely happy with how much he helped with her new car. Also even after the dealership closed he still stayed with us to walk us through all the features and helping my wife set up her phone to the car which I know my wife would've procrastinated in doing so herself. Thank you George for everything, we really do appreciate it!

I always bring my car to Empire Toyota for servicing. The staff is knowledgeable, professional and friendly. Prices are reasonable and they discuss any work that needs to be done, sharing pros and cons. Ultimately, the decision is yours. I always wait and the showroom is comfortable with coffee available. Most importantly, I’ve never had a problem with the work they have done to my vehicle. Highly recommend Empire Toyota.

I don't write reviews as it is rare to get any exceptional services from anywhere especially these days after the Covid. My wife and I purchased or leased at least 14 cars in the past and I have to admit that the recent lease deal with Patrick from this particular dealer was the most pleasant experience I've ever had. Not only I've received $4300 off the MSRP (which is impossible with any other brands or dealers these days due to shortage of vehicles or their greed) for a brand new Tundra model but everything was done via text and emails and a phone call. They also did not try to haggle with me with my trade-in and offered me a very fair deal for my old pick up truck. When I went to pick up my new truck, I only spent about 30 minutes which most of those time was spent to go over the details of the new truck. Patrick was the only one I've dealt with for the truck. None of those "oh let me speak to my finance manager" or try to upsell extended warranties or other services. I wholeheartedly recommend Patrick and this dealer for your future vehicle.

Highly recommend Empire Toyota of Oneonta, NY. 5+ Stars.Easy to deal with and reasonably priced at a time that all other dealerships are over charging.Salesman Caleb Smith was informative, friendly, polite and not pushy! He and Stan delivered the car to my home, 2 1/2 hours away! Thank you, a pleasure doing business with you.

If you want them to charge you 100$ then not change your oil filter. Go to Empire Toyota….. also sell brakes well above end of service limit .. buyers beware

I didn’t have any actual work done but I have to give 5 stars for honesty and efficiency. My Toyota had difficulty starting one morning with a message on the dashboard. After a jumpstart I drove it straight to Empire Toyota and was seen immediately in the service department and explained what occurred. One mechanic looked under the hood, consulted with another and determined the glitch and assured me I was good to go, no service appointment needed. There are so many stories out there about repair shops taking advantage of people but not Empire. I would definitely bring my car back if needed due to their trustworthiness.

Buyer Beware! In Response to "Owners Response":I (and the others I've shared your response with) do not understand in what way production issues and/or part shortages require you to make after market add-ons (underbody coating, paint protection, and interior protection) mandatory to a buyer? Also, after checking your MSRP pricing (and other dealerships - and the Toyota corporate 'build your Toyota' website with the same builds you and others have for sale)...MSRP pricing is not higher than yours at other dealerships -- they are all the same as yours. Yet, none others have dealt with are mandating $1500 in add-on's to be part of any purchase. Your local mandatory add-on's are not publicly listed anywhere buyers can see them - they have to ask up front, or hope they get a sales-person that will tell them at the beginning of the process, or wait until they notice it later in the sales process on the buyers order. For full transparency it'd be nice of you to have them itemized, printed, and posted as mandatory next to the vehicle's window sticker.(For first time readers of my one-star rating, the original comments follow):Empire Toyota in Oneonta NY is still requiring after market 'add-ons' (totaling almost $1500!) to be part of the purchase (on top of MSRP)... I'm saying "still" because 10 months ago from the date of this post another customer gave one star to Empire for this same practice.Yep, they are still making it MANDATORY to have UNDERCOATING, INTERIOR 'bits and pieces' PROTECTION, and CERAMIC PAINT PROTECTION.This is not for a leased vehicle (which I could almost understand), but for vehicles customers want to outright purchase as there own. These items may be of value to some customers, but for any dealership to make these mandatory is an unscrupulous practice. Especially when they are already refusing to negotiate any price below MSRP.I understand that paying MSRP occurs from time-to-time for very popular models; however, making it MANDATORY for customers to pay another $1,500 out of pocket in addition to MSRP is just not something anyone would think is right or fair. They should simply offer those 'add-on's' and let the customer decide if they'd like them or not --- without making it part of the 'deal' and the customer must take it or leave it.Unfortunately, a relative of mine also experienced this and walked away. So, I knew to ask up front if the add-on packages were going to be 'mandatory'.At least the sales representative I was working with saved us both a lot of time (and me a lot of money) and informed me that was correct: there would be no deal unless the vehicle was purchased at MSRP, PLUS the $1,500 in dealership mandated after-market add-on packages. I thanked him for his transparency in the dealerships pricing policy and decided to shop elsewhere.I highly recommend asking your sales representative about this up front, before you are well into the process of completing the purchase of your vehicle with Empire Toyota. Maybe these 'mandatory' packages are for only certain models and/or for new car sales only. Just wanted give potential customers who may read these types of reviews a 'heads-up'. There are other Toyota dealerships within a one or less than two hour drive that DO NOT participate in this practice.

This place is a joke! We bought a certified preowned Toyota, drove it to Myrtle Beach and back; then took it to these guys for an oil change. We owned a vehicle for one week! This vehicle that we paid $2000 for certification, which we were told was going to change the oil the air filters go through the entire vehicle and make sure everything passed inspection. Mind you one week later we took it in for an oil change and they told us we needed a new cabin filter, a new air filter and the Oil had to be changed more often. WE HAD THE VEHICLE ONE WEEK AND PUT 1800 miles on it!! They obviously lied and said they did a certification point check- charged us for it- and never did it. Not to mention we couldn’t take our vehicle home that day, because they need to do all this work and detail the car. When we test drove the car there was a rapper laying on the floor and crumbs on the backseat. When we pick the car up there was the same wrapper on the floor and the same crumbs on the backseat!! SCAM! Do yourself a favor and shop elsewhere

I planned on buying a 2023 Toyota Sienna through this dealership and had placed a deposit down. When the vehicle came in, we started going through the paperwork and they notified me that their aftermarket add-ons (warranty on cloth, corrosion protection, etc.) which amounted to $1,500 was mandatory and they would not remove it from the sale. This is absolutely unacceptable and is a predatory practice in today's car buying environment. Aftermarket add-ons should NOT be mandatory. I want to buy a car, not your crappy, overpriced aftermarket add-ons. Don't buy from this dealership and take your business elsewhere.
