Yet another business in Oneonta that doesn't open when they say they do. Also doesn't help when your OPEN signs are literally on and flashing and the door is locked. Incredible.

No recent reviews, so here ya go:Boars Head meats and cheeses in display case, sliced to order per sub. Veggies were also fresh sliced on the spot. The bread isn't outta this world as I recall the old "Woodys" bread being, but it's certainly not bad and definitely sufficient. All around great sub.Very clean space, spotless actually. Excellent beer selection, craft brews are top notch. My only criticism on the beer is that 90% of it isn't cold. Even domestic 12 packs are not in a cooler. However, they do keep a handful of popular 12 pack domestic and craft beers cold for those worried about instant cold beverages.Satisfied.

We went to get subs from new owners. I have to use a cane & there's no hand railing on sidewalk up to the door. And I fell. No handicap entrance.

The new owner is making fantastic subs again. Don’t count this place out.

I went in there with my father to get some lunch meat and the guy tried to charge us $40 for a pound of American cheese that says on the wall is $6.99 a pound and a pound of turkey that also says it's $9.99 and the guy's excuse for trying to literally scam us was that the prices have gone up they haven't gone up $30 in the time it took to get there. AWFUL EXPERIENCE WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!!!

Newly-built, spanking clean and bright, Social Eats is a welcome entry to the Oneonta dining scene. They have their own parking, so none of the usual worries about finding a parking spot. And the staff couldn't be more friendly. They have only been open a couple of weeks, but they already have a hydrangea and buddleia garden out back, with tables that allow you to dine alfresco. We ordered coffee, which was outstanding, even though it was the plainest coffee choice on offer. You can, if you want, go for the latte, or the cappucino, etc. I ordered a $10.95 "Social Eats BLT" with seriously garlicky aioli, while my partner enjoyed the "Havartist," a roast turkey sandwich with molten Havarti cheese. These delicious sandwiches came with a generous green salad on the side. We splurged, too, on a basket of fries. In short, we ate too much to enjoy any of the tasty-looking pastries on display at the counter. We'll have to save that for next time...

What a total disappointment. After going there for years to enjoy their subs, I went there expecting the same quality food. The way the sub was made and the bread have totally changed. I didn't ask for a bottle of spicy mustard on my sandwich. When you buy an establishment and change things you shouldn't call things the same. New ownership is disgracing what was an amazing place. Gone are the huge beer selection and incredible subs. Going to Undercover Eggplant from now on.

Still have some of the best subs in town even with the new owner.

The new owners completely ruined this place. No more charm, no more beer, less food for the same price. It's gone

So I went to hometown deli yesterday and asked for a bacon egg and cheese. As the guy began to make my sandwich I noticed he grabbed two pieces of raw bacon and proceeded to toss them into the microwave. Thinking that’s tough, listen to this one… later he grabs two eggs cracks them tosses it into a bowl and proceeds to microwave my eggs. If I wanted microwaved eggs and bacon I would’ve simply went to Dunkin’ Donuts.

Best subs I ever had. There rolls are delicious. Helpful and informative to their customers.

Negative zero if I could. Changed owners but gave it a try. They totally messed up our sub order. Gave us ore sliced meet. Called to complain an was told it's 7pn we are closed. Did not offer to fix so I will be calling credit card company to fight the charges of 38.00. Do not waste your hard earned money on this place. They don't give you a itemized bill. Should have known better!

First of all they did not get my sub order correct. 2nd they did not give me a detailed receipts. For two larges subs, 1lb of Ham and a bottle of mustard they charged 38.00. I get back to the hotel and the Chicken finger sub was made with Mayo instead of hot sauce. The chicken was reheated in a microwave BUT the roll was not toasted. It was such a weird way of making a sub! When I called an complained they would not give me a refund. They kept saying they couldn't do anything because they were now closed for the day. Didn't offer any thing to compensate for their mistake. I will be calling my CC company to complain about this business. Oh by the way they charge an extra 3.5% extra for using credit card. Such a scam....Run away and go somewhere else.
