During a home appointment for my windshield. It started to rain and soon was rerouted to the office setting to address it easily and out of the elements.While in the waiting room…I was questioned about a “calibration “ for lane departure warning etc. it would of cost $3-400 to do this “reprogramming “B/S : my car recalibrated itself and they are currently scarring customers into a “unnecessary recalibration fee.”My vehicles’ safety features work fine & don’t let them tell you otherwise. Drive the car after the replace and see if your particular vehicle needs a recalibration. I’ve yet to contact an honest trustworthy garage/service center that doesn’t try to take advantage of the everyday customer

I made my appointment online, no problem. I had to choose a location that was not the closest (or even the next closest or the 3rd closest) due to a lack of available appointments!After a 45 mile drive, I arrived (before the scheduled time) to find the shop open but unoccupied.I rang the bell, checked the bathroom and kept yelling "hello, hello" but no one answered.I called the help line listed on your website and they said they tried to call manager and assistant but they were not answering.I asked what I should do, and was told a "manager" would call me.NO ONE CALLED!Finally, a nice young man appeared and said he was working in a different building out back and was the only one here!IS THIS YOUR IDEA OF CUSTOMER SERVICE?? ONE WORKER TO COVER 2 BUILDINGS AND GREET CUSTOMERS????AND, by the way, the "help" line never got back to me.The Young Man who ultimately fixed my windshield, was working as hard as 1 person can.He should be rewarded. . . I purchased new wipers (front and back) and he should get credit for saving the day.

My experience with Safelite as a company was terrible. I was at the point of just going to my dealership. It was Impossible to contact the location which my vehicle was being worked on. It wasn’t until Wendy from the Oneonta location called me. She was able to go through my account, delete a bunch of nonsense that didn’t need to be there, and set me up with the right location, at the right time, with my windshield in stock. She was literally a life safer and took so much stress off my shoulders. The service industry needs more Wendy’s, she deserves 10 raises.

Highly recommend Safelite in Oneonta - when they were given the wrong model of car (not their fault), they went out of their way to go to the warehouse to get the correct windshield so that it could still be replaced during the same time frame. I was expecting to have to reschedule the appointment but they drove OUT OF TOWN to go and get the one I needed. I can’t thank them enough and they did an amazing job on it. HIGHLY recommend them - they truly care about their customers!

SAFELITE AUTO GLass did not do my glass because they gave me to much stress trying to schedule a time first I was for Monday morning on than no one showed up than they give me another time with a larger estimate $100.00 more than the first one. SO AFTER ALL this I went with Ace Glass in Oneonta NY no stress just great time and professional SERVICE.I would give ACE GLASS 5 STARS ON EVERYTHING THEY DO.THANK YOU ACE GLASS!!!

Other then them being short handed in employees about 45 minutes it took from time being pulled into the garage appointments was set for 2:00 but didn't get in until 2: 30 - 2:45

Originally we had someone come out and replace the windshield in my parents car in our own driveway. Waited two+ hours to drive after the windshield was in, noticed there was air coming in. Called here, told to bring in and their tech would look at it. Get there and wait 10-15 minutes just waiting for the woman to get off the phone. At first it was understandable but then she just started a conversation about other things and kept rambling on. After she finally finished her call, we were told to bring the car around. Went into garage and the tech looked at it, said there was leaks he saw. Glued them up and said we should be good. So we went on our way, just for us to continue to have issues. They have replaced numerous windshields for us, sadly each time we have had an issue with the work done. Disappointed.Service: Auto windshield repair

I was more more than impressed with the entire process! Speed with which my initial encounter to having the windshield completed was less than 24 hours. ( and I had a camera and wires they had to rewire besides) It looks awesome and both the receptionist Wendy and the technician Jason were professional and unbelievably kind. Plus the place was immaculate! In this day and age of settling for mediocrity this place was a diamond in the ruff. Highly recommend it!

Safelite's automated phone service is infuriating. I simply wanted to speak with a customer service representative with an unusual question but was repeatedly referred to doing so online. I had to lie to the computer phone answering service just to get through to a human being. Not conducive to good customer service. This comment is NOT directed at the install process; this has been scheduled but not yet performed.Service: Rear window replacement
