I called the company and was originally quoted about $2800 to move a 1 bedroom apartment about 2 hours away. Minutes later someone named Eric from the company called me back and said it would likely be closer to $3500 and offered to do it himself with 3 “professional” movers from the company for the original quoted price of $2800. I agreed to this and we agreed on a date and time of 10am. He then reached out to me and said he would have to delay due to an emergency dentist appointment which is reasonable but I had to call him twice more that day to get an answer on when he would be coming. When he did finally show up it was at 2:30pm with a large animal trailer with open slots on the sides that smelled strongly of animal manure and inside under the black horse stall mats on the floor I could see mud and manure. Three boys that must’ve been in high school, not what I would consider professional movers. When I voiced my disappointment, Eric said that it was plenty of space and very clean even though it evidently was not. I asked them to leave and did not follow through with the service. I was disappointed as I had requested the day off work and spent the entire day waiting for the company to arrive. For a quoted price of almost $3,000 I expected much better than an animal trailer smelling of manure.

The storage units are great, just don't hire the movers. Unless you want to spend the rest of your life picking your way through haphazardly packed that YOU could fit in! They are labeled, just unreadable for handwriting and contrast, like a lima.bean color.
I called, and they said Our Driver said he did everything right, just keep digging. No responsibility, no real recourse. The Driver was the guy who probably pocketed some.

Extremely professional and skilled. The movers were very careful with our items and walls. They were also very fast. It takes easily half the time of moving yourself. Thank you again.

Great experience!! Keith and Dylan are two great guys who worked as a team in a way that gave me confidence in their abilities and made the whole move, from start to finish, a pleasure. They certainly are a dynamic duo!!

Do not hire this firm if what you want is a mover that actually shows up, or sticks to its contractual obligations to handle your move. They left us high and dry, failing to show on day agreed to, and also the next. Had to scramble to piece together rental truck, moving help, and miss critical time from work because of them. Somehow they have the ability to delete poor reviews too, so who knows how many there really are?

Fantastic service for an odd move bring stuff from an estranged in laws house to mine. Eric did such a great job dealing with the complexity and communicating with me about everything.

Thank you for sending 3 terrific guys to my parents house. It was a pleasure to meet Keith, Tommy and Billy. They were friendly, courteous, thorough, hard-working, knowledgeable and very careful with all my parents belongings. I have no doubt all their things are being well taken care of.I would definitely recommend Schuman's to anyone thinking about using a moving company.

Attempted to use this company to move my mother from Louisiana to Virginia. I was assured by Eric Schuman multiple times that this was no problem, he could handle it. He couldn't. Not only was he unable to arrange the move, he stalled and delayed to a point where I couldn't get it done by anyone else. I ended up moving my mother myself with a U-haul and the help of family members in the area, the youngest of which was in their mid-70s. I was sent to Schuman B-line by North American Van Lines. I will never have anything to do with either company again.

I learned about Schuman B-Line (North American Van Lines), a local firm, from my real estate broker, so I knew they were highly rated. I found myself in a bind because of another moving company that screwed me over at the last minute. But Schuman B-Line came to the rescue and got me sorted out. They appear to be a local family operation, but with a very high level of no-nonsense professionalism. I felt I was in good hands, and the estimated cost of my move seemed very fair, and the employees seemed happy and were polite and very hard working. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone who needed to move long distance.

Tommy and Justin moved us from Sidney Center to Nineveh. Very nice men who worked together beautifully. If I had a moving company, they would no longer be working for Schuman - they'd be working for me.

I am disappointed with the company. My daughter paid an upfront fee to have her items picked up and stored for $260.00. Upon returning this semester she was charged an additional $100.00 drop off fee. After I called and complained about the inflated $100.00 delivery fee and non delivery of storage items to the Dorm room, Erick hung up on me.Upon drop off of my daughter items the microwave glass door was shattered into pieces. I emailed Pam whom apologized and blamed my daughter for poor packaging upon initial pick up and said the company isn’t responsible for the damage. Horrible customer service and inflated fees for College students!!!

We just moved from out of state, and called Schuman to help us unload. The team who helped us was amazing. So fast, efficient, and friendly. They did a great job of playing tetris with our boxes to make the most of our available space. I highly recommend this company, and will definitely use them when I move again. Thanks, Schuman!
