They stole my 2019 Nissan car on August 1st with KKV Repo via Thomas and Denise Ray of SFCU. SFCU was supposed to re-negotiate the loan since they charged me full amount instead of the 2018 Honda Fit trade-in with no lien I had done a few months prior with jalopies that I was stuck with through Community Bank liens. Both banks predatory, ended up with used car and almost full lien for price of Nissan, plus losing most of trade-in value of initial car that had no lien. Neither bank acknowledged to help and said it was the other bank that was responsible. I went into difficult times, and did not make any payments and felt I should not as they were scamming me out of a car. I am a senior with health conditions and I live in a rural area with little public transportation (once a day 3x per week, and it does not travel everywhere, limited routes) and few social services, and I need to travel back and forth 20 minutes by car to shop for quality food and household items. I am on a restricted diet, and no remote work during the summer. The State Troopers let SFCU steal my car saying it is a civil matter. They allowed SFCU to steal my car! They are new to the area. DA's office never responded, AG's office has not responded yet, I am going to send them all of the paperwork, such a hassle. None of the social services offered to help. Legal Aid is not funded in Otsego County, NY. This is just more elder abuse of me. I did not dislike banks until living in corrupt Otsego County, NY, I am originally from NYC. The only Banks (Community Bank, Citizens Bank) closed in the two small rural towns around the same time the drug dealers left--coincidence? Otsego County, NY is more corrupt than NYC because Otsego County, NY does not provide free legal assistance, just one reason. I will also mention that the State Troopers did nothing when more than 2,000 dollars of funds were missing from my NBT account, and I reported that to them a few years back. I had a balance receipt showing that the money disappeared, but NBT via southside branch where I made the transactions said that the customer service staff left the computer open and it was someone else's deposit, but there were no people behind me in a line. The amount equaled an item in my Etsy shop. The balance receipt was not good enough, they wanted the initial deposit receipt except the southside branch said they could not give a receipt because their computers were down, and I went to another branch for the account balance. There is much elder abuse here, and I am a victim of it, not much social services to help. My retirement is being ruined by the diabolics. The Legal Aid Society is not funded in Otsego County, NY. If you unscramble the SFCU letters you almost get what they really are.

It's certainly my preferred credit union. Custody service can be great, and a general suggestion for all banking - make relationships with branch staff and managers, and check in with these contacts; when or if an issue arrises you are much more likely to have quick resolution ;-)
