The cars we looked at were priced about right for the condition / mileage. All was good until we started talking with the salesman. He started talking about how fast the cars we flying off the lot, but the particular one we were looking at had been on Craigslist for over three weeks. Then other things he said just started raising red flags. We actually gave info to get our credit started. All was good and had planned to purchase the next day because it was late in the day. Then they ask for a couple hundred to hold the car. That has always bothered me. I get they don't want you finding another car after you leave the lot, but it seems very cheap and sleazy to me. I refused and said that if the car we're looking at sells while were gone then it sells. He then asked again and I walked out. We found another car very similar without hearing any red flags and without putting money down to hold the car at a different dealer.
