Alex is a master. He worked on and repaired my Martin d35 with expert craftsmanship. He genuinely cares about your guitars. If you want to save money and give your guitar to somebody or store who couldn't care less this is not the luthier for you. If you want someone who’s going to repair your instrument with precision and careThis is your man.

Alex is the only specialist that I trust to work on my guitars. He has done repairs on my '72 D-28 and '66 Mustang, and I will be using his expertise again on my new Strat. He genuinely loves guitars and it shows in his work.

Alex is the very best. He did superb work on my guitars, one of which I had almost given up on ever sounding and playing the way I wanted. After Alex fixed it I was in guitar heaven!

Friendly and honest Luthier. Spent a good amount of time giving an estimate for repairs of my Martin d16. He understood that the repairs would exceed the value of the guitar. So he gave me good suggestions on what I could do with the instrument instead.

Great on the “set upâ€. He's worked on many of my guitars. When I acquire a new instrument I bring it straight to Alex. Never disappointed.

The reviews by Mark and Gil (whom I don't know) hit the mark. I recently took my 1966 Martin 000-28 to Alex after I noticed some troublesome signs on the body below the bridge. It turned out that the guitar had been repaired at some point in its past by a slob who did almost unimaginable damage. Alex slowly (and you do need to be prepared to give him the time to make his magic) and creatively took the guitar apart in his mind long before he ever wielded a tool. He ultimately made custom jigs to repair the guitar, removed the excess glue that had been poured all over the repair, and reconstructed everything from the bridge support to the pick guard to match, as close as possible, the original specifications of the Martin. By the time I picked up the guitar, it could be played with even better action and sounded even better than it did at any time in its past. Alex resists being described as an "artist," but he truly is an artist in his work with stringed instruments. My guitar is an object, but it also has some of the qualities of a friend since it evokes personal history and affection. Alex returned that friend to me.

Alex knows his stuff. He did a beautiful job on my Martin, restoring the 'bulge' behind the bridge,( and I do mean a serious bulge),fixing the warped bridge plate, bracing work, etc. Takes his time with you and explains all the work he will be doing. I highly recommend Alex.
