Opened a CD three months ago. Money was to be transferred from another institution. I have the paperwork. It never happened. I went to bank. Person who opened account was not there. Left my phone number. No response. Called again. Took my name. No response again. I would give this branch- Orchard Park - zero stars.

I'm usually not bothered enough by a bad experience to leave reviews like this... I've been with this bank since I was 15 years old, I know they can and have done better. Five-Star bank is great as a whole, this branches location has some sorting-out to do.The most recent problem can't be overlooked. I called this branch for some security related things, but no one answered. I left a message with my name and number, and explanation of what I wanted to do. (This didn't bother me.) I never got a call back, but a short while later, I got a text message saying they gave me a temporary passcode... even though I specifically requested a callback, so that I could go through the security measures over the phone. I wasn't asked ANYTHING to confirm my identity, but I got a unprompted text with a new password. This seems... unsafe? And I still got locked out again, because I didn't have "proper authentication," since they skipped all the security questions and protocol. So I called back... still no answer, even though they were supposedly open.So I had to call the customer-service and explain to them what happened, and why my phone call couldn't be transferred to my home-branch. If it weren't for customer-service(the woman I talked to really was great), or the online apps security (which made sure I wasn't some rando accessing someone else's account), this could have been a whole lot worse.Five Star as a banking institution is great, this branch leaves a lot to be desired.

One of the best business moves I've ever done was switching away from *&* and moving my accounts to Five Star Bank (That was about 14 years ago). This bank does not attempt to fee you to death. The staff is always friendly and always willing to go above and beyond to help me with my sometimes odd requests. Great Business. Thank you! A+

BEWARE: the ATM kept my BoA debit card. The teller and manager kept my card despite verifying my ID citing a ‘company policy’ bc it is from another bank with conflicting stories of what happened to the card. They have my card in hand and tell me I need to go to BoA to have another printed.

The only reason I gave it 1 star was because of the young lady that helps us. Other than that, it's trash. We have set up an automatic withdrawal 3 times with them and they still screw it up. We have had to constantly go there to have them take it out. This right there tells me they are incompetent bank that can't do simple things.

The single worst bank I've ever done businesses with. My debit Card has been shut off multiple times, I've been put on hold for hours, making payments is always a hassle. All aspects of FiveStarBank is laughable at best. Not to mention the tellers & accountants are unprofessional & completely clueless in their field of work.

Wonderful, professional, courteous and friendly staff helps get what I need and is grateful for my business. It's always a pleasure to do business at this branch. They could teach the Yorkshire branch a lot.

In the hotel and restaurant industry 5 star implies quality and good customer service. This is not the case with 5 star bank. I would highly recommend NOT using this bank and probably for that matter, the rest of the branch if this is how they operate.
