“About 18 months ago my husband and I were looking for luxury vinyl flooring (LVF) to cover over the parquet floors in our recently purchased apartment in Ossining. The existing floors were probably about 60 years old, yellowed, badly stained, and broken down in places. Carpet Giant had a very nice selection of LVF products, and we actually found just what we were looking for, a pale blond, Scandinavian-style plank flooring that we delight in every day. The installation team carefully prepared the old flooring to accept the LVF product, filling in gaps in the parquet that might compromise the stability of the new floor, which went directly on top of the parquet. Installation was very efficient and flawless. The new flooring is holding up very well, with no dents or scratches, and is extremely easy to maintain. Both owner Rob and the installation team were very professional, knowledgeable, and accommodating, a real pleasure to work with. “So ... I'm the son of a former maven in the carpet industry. Why do I share this? Because that makes me a tough customer.
