I turned 21 this year, I'm out of state and haven't changed my ID ever since I've gotten my drivers license when I was 17. I tried to buy alcohol at this location and have been denied by a manager who's wears a gray shirt and a cap. Claims that I need to have a renewed ID and a New York State license to purchase alcohol and hasn't provided me any evidence of the claim he kept a defending, and that's it's New York State law. My bf had confirmed with the police that it's not a New York State law, and an out of state license shouldn't have any affect with my alcoholic purchases unless it's store policy. Therefore, after this encounter, I went to my local liquor store and showed them the exact same ID as I had shown to the staff at this stop and shop, and they proceeded with my transaction. I understand that the employees are trying to do their job, but I've asked multiple people, (this has happened previously) and said that they've never heard of this "policy" before. Unless corporate can provide a document of this policy, I will assume that I've been discriminated.

I feel sorry for Victoria T. The manager to have to say sorry for all the comments, But yes, the Solution Center here is really bad service, I was waiting to get help and someone came to answer a phone call , he was on the phone for couple minutes, right when he is done , he tried to walk away but i said hi to him very loud first, before he tried to walk away, then he said he will be back, took awhile to get my help done, he seemed very into answering the phone call , even worst when the second guy came, no help but slow the first guy down, and he has no care at all, I ended up standing to cash up my lotto for 25 -30 minutes, .. just wanted to let them have the better system for help at the solution center, at least have the sign up if you are Closed, or a bell to ring for help, I was gonna give 3 stars for the store, but the second guy made this experience totally 1star service,

Stop & Shop in Ossining has gone way downhill. I've been using there curbside pickup since it started. At 1st it was good. Lately the products that are picked for me either expire in the next few days or have mold on them & need to be thrown out. Time to find another grocery store.

Actually nice store with great selections but expect to experience a shopping cart that will either screech when you push it, not roll at all, or cut your hand sending you to the ER when you grab the handle. Also the carts can not accommodate more than 3 bring your own bags or you will squash your groceries. Fun

This is the sloppiest excuse for a Stop and Shop I have ever seen. Ridiculously long lines. Empty shelves. What is going on with the management in this store? don't waste your money

Bought two boston crème donuts today. Bit into one and it tasted funny, so I looked on the bottom. It was VERY moldy. Looked at the other one, it was moldy too. Bought TODAY, bitten TODAY. Disgusting. This place has been going downhill for a while, but selling moldy food...? Don't buy any baked goods here unless you're trying to discover the next penicillin.

I am writing to express my severe concerns over your store's handling of COVID-19. I have found several of your staff members to not be properly wearing PPE, and tonight I ran into the worst instance yet. At 9:40pm EST the following happened:Your store manager, Eimelie (I probably misspelled her name as I could only see it on her tag), was wearing her mask over her chin and mouth, but not covering her nose. I asked her to put her mask on properly as I am a high risk individual and was shopping at a later hour to avoid large crowds. She ignored my question and further comments and kept the mask off her nose. After I paid and collected the only bag given to me I discovered that another bag was hidden behind the checkout counter. I had to go back to collect my items, and discovered that the supervisor continued to wear her mask incorrectly.I will no longer be shopping at any of your locations.

All I wanna say to Stop & Shop, screw them. For providing me for such a horrible shopping experience. It's not like what it use to be back in the day. I don't know what's changed here since. I was recently shopping here to get a cake for my daughter's friend. I shop here from time to time. I noticed one of the clerks who worked in the bakeshop was not there. Don't remember his name but he was a fine young man who seemed honest and kind. Don't know where he is but was I afraid to ask. I get my cake and no one was there to write on it. The last time I went for a cake here was for my daughter. The fine young man did a swell job writing on it and was able to find the decorations I needed. I wish him the best, he was one of the only associates who actually did their job unlike the other workers here I saw being simply lazy. So I went to the front desk to ask if there's someone to write on the cake. There wasn't anyone there so I had wait for over ten minutes til a very short lady came to the desk with an attitude. She called me impatient and slow. She tried to call if someone was there but as I went to the bakery, no one was there so I just had to go without a writing. As I keep shopping, the prices were too high and there was none of the items I needed were in stock. So as I finish shopping with hardly anything I needed, I overhear what seemed to be the manager with a beard gossiping about other associates' performance. I didn't pay attention much. There's a long line and out of all the fifteen lanes, only two are open. Like why? Why does Stop & Shop have to be like this? Like anyone hardly ever shops here? Wrong! The two cashiers were next to each other chatting with each other, and they seemed bored out of their minds. I just wanted to get out as quickly as I can. Once finished, I leave the store never wanting to come back here again. Here's my statement for Stop & Shop, what happened to your company? Why is your staff here so unprofessional, especially the front end guys? And what happened to the young man in the bakery? I believe was the kindest of them all during my shopping experiences recently. Other than that, management should get their act together and fix their store and shortages! Otherwise, I'm done here

EMPLOYEES ARE NOT ADHERING TO SOCIAL DISTANCING PROTOCOLS AT THIS STORE. I went at 8 AM to avoid the crowds. However, the people working there, especially the cashiers are not staying 6 feet away from the customers. I had to go to a cashier since I had a rain check to redeem. However, because the only cashier operated registers were next to each other, I was sandwiched between them while they were having a heated conversation. (In retrospect, I should have gone to the outside one.) One was behind a Plexiglas but the one closer to me was not and was talking thru me to continue her conversation and not respecting distance. Items to note: - Self checkout was backed up at 8 AM. Not sure how it is at other times of the day. - All sales are now final. - No refunds, returns, or new rainchecks are being issued if they are out of stock. Suggestions to Stop and Shop - Don't open cashier lanes next to each other. There were only 2 open out of over 15 checkout lanes and they had to be next to each other? That's a fault of management. - Everyone is stressed at this time and no one wants to be at the store. I respect that the cashiers have opinions but they can't endanger the customers because the cashiers believes that prayer will protect them. I would have preferred to send this directly to Stop and Shop but they've disabled the Contact Us email on their site. Suffice it to say I will not be back here.

The stop and shop in ossining is okay. They have gotten a lot better since the last time I've been there. Their produce is still lacking and often doesn't taste good but their grocery is very good. They always have stocked shelves and good deals on items. Even when they don't have the items they give rain checks for them and offer you a limit of 10 which makes saving money at the store so good. Their customer service is amazing with very helpful employees and mangers also be outstanding. I will also say that they are sometimes under staff with only like 2 cashiers or 3 which isn't enough sometimes unlike other stores with 6 or 5. They are friendly people who are dedicated to helping you. Weekends seem to be the busy days at the store so shopping there on a Friday is almost always good since they have lots of cashiers. I haven't tried their deli so I can't say much but I knew they have amazing chicken. The bakery there is good but sometimes they forget your order but they always give you a refund or a cake for free since they messed up. They're Health and beauty is very small but has the necessary items you need. The Meat something I don't usually get at stop and shop. I will go to c town or la placita which is nearby. If I have to get meat from the store, their nature promise which is their organic selection which is affordable and delicious.
