“Just bought a 2016 Chevy Silverado with the 6l80 six speed transmission that was making a grinding noise, almost like when your going over the rumble strips on the shoulder. Called Bill on the phone & he knew exactly what was wrong & was very knowledgeable about this 6 speed transmission that are notorious for bad torque converters. Bill & his mechanic pulled the transmission, rebuilt it & replaced torque converter + then reinstalled transmission for a grand total of $1650!! The truck now shifts like new without any issues & no more shaking! If you have any kind of transmission problem Bill is your go to guy! “Operator Eric S is an automotive wizard! And friendly, to boot! I was lucky enough to get Eric of Val U Auto Towing on a call contracted by my USAA Roadside Service. We live up in the mountains outside Albany, and sometimes have a hard time getting service for certain things. We lucked out in this case. I was hoping a simple battery jump would get me on my way, but it still wasn’t starting. Eric said “let me try something.” And 30 seconds later, he was explaining to me about the sensor in my Jeep that wasn’t reading that the car was in park. Inconveniently, he already had a car on his truck and needed to take care of it first. But a phone call to customer service at the contractor, Agero, and they updated my case for a redo from a simple battery jump to a tow. An hour or so later, Eric was back at my house taking care of me and hauling my car into Albany to the dealership. Couldn’t have gone smoother (unless my car just didn’t break down in the first place!) Thanks, Eric and Val U Auto Towing!.”
